It's very pretty and the wings flap convincingly, but that's all it does. My 7 year old wasn't really impressed with it, said "ooo" then left it alone, and 3 n half year old played for just a few mins with it.

Very cute
I bought this for my daughter as a reward for her points. Price was good. She likes to collect the live pets and other stuffies, robo animals. Product is small. Fits in palm of your hand. Butterfly is super cute. It's wings flap open and closed as it charges and as your kid handles it.One thing I did find that could be an issue is the butterfly easily falls from the doc/flower. The charging point on it that connects to the butterfly has a small light magnetic hold to keep the butterfly in place but it is not very strong. If your child walks with it it will fall right off very easily.We use rechargable batteries.Other then wings flapping it really doesn't do much more then that.

Flutters in your hand
This was bought for my nine year old granddaughter. She has three other Little Live Pets and enjoys each. Very cute, but I'm not sure how long the batteries will last.
