This device hardly takes up any space and that's saying a lot when you own a Miata with very limited trunk space. My old jump starter took up over 1/3 of the available space and it could barely manage a few jumps before it needed to be charged for several hours. This device could jump your car dozens of times and still have juice left over, which you will see the percentage of power left to you in the LED screen. Also, it has a flashlight that can flash an SOS signal for you and has a few other flashlight modes. It has 2 USB ports you can use to charge up other devices. Plus, it comes with a cigarette lighter attachment, a USB cord and plug, and the red and black jumper cable attachment. A very sturdy carrying case is included, black with red striping, that allows you to store the device in your vehicle so it's there when you need it to be.To use you simply insert the jumper cable attachment, attach the red and black cables to your car battery, turn the device on, and start your car. Your car should start up on the first try. Then remove the cables from your battery and no need to shut the device off, it will power down after a few minutes of non-use. Simple, powerful and takes up hardly any room at all. This device is definitely worth getting and also makes a perfect gift that won't break your bank.

I thought the device was faulty as I hooked it up to a one month old but very discharged, cold battery and got nothing. The green light on the intelligent clamp continued to flash, telling me the device was ready, but once connected to the battery it should stop flashing, but instead continued to flash. So I tried to start the car anyway and got nothing, no sign of any juice whatsover. I contacted Foxpeed (it sounds ok when you say it lol) and they got right back to me and we discussed the situation. In the meantime I had sent the item back for a replacement, thinking it was faulty. What I learned from Foxpeed was that if the battery you want to jump is at 0 volts, which is absolutely dead, then the battery becomes a conductor and the "intelligent clamp" sees it as a short and won't apply power. The solution is to remove the ground cable from the chassis of the car and attach the ground clamp to the cable, leaving it attached just to the battery, then then you should see the green light on steady which indicates that it is ready to apply power. Since I had another car near by, rather than remove the chassis/engine block end of the ground cable, I put standard jumper cables between the dead battery and the good battery until there was a small amount of voltage present and achieved the same results with the jump starter putting out a strong starting current and the car starting right up. These are great. My first one was stolen and I used it numerous times without fail not only on my own cars but other peoples I had come across that were stranded. It barely takes one minute and you're back in business, no waiting for road service or a friend to come jump you. Thanks to Foxpeed for their prompt, extensive support.

UPDATE - 9-11-22sadly I'm not going to be using this anymore...I noticed recently when I went to jump start my truck it started but then quickly died...thought it was pretty odd...the Jump Cables didnt even register a voltage..it all seemed dead...I grabbed my old trusty heavy carry jump pack from Harbor Freight....and voila!!!...truck started...no issue...went out back to start my riding mower...went without issue but I noticed by accident that the Blue Connectors were burning hot...I mean if you held on too long it would burn your skin. I have an Imazing and it still works without any problems. I noticed through the months I've owned this that every time I used it...the percentage drop on the little screen would be like 4%...everytime I would jump my truck or riding mower...now it jumps down 16% and the charge doesnt seem to last as long. I contacted Foxpeed and it doesn't seem they're too interested in my dilemma. I get no response. I'm giuessing the warranty is probably for print only. So I learned a lesson...be careful when using this over a long period of time or things could get a bit hot. Kind of a bummer really...cause when it worked..it worked great. There's $65 I won't get back.OLD REVIEWI already have an Imazing Jump starter that's eerily similiar to this one...in specs and appearance..so when I saw this on BF I grabbed it cause I knew my next project was to build a portable Spot Welder for doing Drill Battery rebuilds. Well...it works good...Buying one of those prebuilt looking portable power packs that has Spot Welder tines/rods just didn't seem to have good enough reviews so I found a video that shows you how to make one...super simple and works good.Worth the money.
