Exceeded my expectations
Ordering a mechanical hand tool online is frankly a leap of faith. You can't pick them up to check the balance, heft, fit & finish, and action like you would in a brick and mortar store. I am happy to report that this product was one that when I received it, exceeded my expectations. The action is tight, both in the swivel and in the scissoring. The cutting action was excellent, with zero grass getting folded over and caught between blades. For me, the heft is excellent, heavy enough to feel solid but not too heavy. (Note that I'm a 6' 100K male with large hands. I can't speak to how the heft would feel for someone with small hands). Finally, the balance is excellent. These grass shears are without a doubt the finest grass shears that I have ever used or owned. I'm extremely happy and would recommend these grass shears to others.

Good Shears but poor quality blade
These worked reasonably well and were adequately comfortable, but the blades rusted after one season of use.Though they are screwed onto the body, I could not find replacements. In this age of poor quality manufacturing, I would have awarded one star for each year of use plus a star if replacements were available. If the manufacturer cared about its customers, it would have sold the clippers with a replacement set of blades. I will not purchase a product from this company again unless it's priced very inexpensively.

Don't buy this cheap POS
These shears worked well for about a day or two, but then the metal prong became disloged from the hole that allows the squeezing of the handle to move the blades. It won't go back in. I tried to hammer the metal prong back into the hole and it worked for a few squeezes but it popped right back out. So I squeeze handles and blades don't move. Don't buy this cheap POS. Go buy some Fiskars or some other brand.

Love these!
There are areas in my garden where a weed whacker would cause serious damage to my delicate plants so I use these to trim around them. They're wonderful! I especially like that you can rotate the blades to what is most comfortable to you.

Rusted after one use.
These are very low quality for the price. I barely used them once to trim a couple of small tips of growth on some dwarf decorative bushes. Nothing hard or excessive. They seemed to work fine, but within a couple of weeks, the blades and all metal was completely covered with rust. Could not believe my eyes. So disappointed. Back to Fiskars -- don't rust and are much more reliable. I'd love to return these if I could. Ripped off.

Mess free alternative to a weed eater for small jobs
I bought these just to care for a curb strip in front of the house. It's an area that's not only too small to justify dragging the string line trimmer out, but I hate kicking up grass and getting them all over the cars.Anyhow, these convenient, quality shears allow me to knock out about 40' x 2' strip of green stuff in 15 minutes, and I actually find that I'm much quicker to grab these than drag out the extension cord and safety glasses and do it the "old" way.

If you hold it with the blades horizontal only, it works just fine. Try it in any other position and the linkage falls out of it's hole and it doesn't work. Peening or locking in the end of the linkage bar somehow will fix it and I will do this rather than return it. So if you are listening "Garden Growers Supply", tell the manufacturer to take care of this.

Good shears but use Loctite to secure the nut on the pivot.
A good pair of shears. The variable angle feature is somewhat handy around edges with borders.Be aware that the nut holding the spring tensioning the blades loosened and fell off of mine the second time I used them. I found the spring and cap but the nut and any washer were long gone. It is a 6mm nut and washer that I used Loctite to secure when I replaced them.
