They are fresh and delicious in the jar. I have them refrigerated. You can warm them up for a few seconds in the microwave. Either way they taste very good.

I love chestnuts and these are excellent and not just for Christmas.

These were perfect for my chestnut stuffing! It’s nice that they are readily available through Amazon anytime of the year instead of just locally during the holidays.

I have tried other chestnuts and so far have found these to be very good. I ate the whole jar in a couple of days. I am keeping this on subscription. It is close to a 5 star. Some of the dark areas is the inside skin of the chestnut. Would be great if it could be removed but probably difficult. Give these a try.

Gourmet, shmormet! These were HORRIBLE! Don't listen to the good reviews! They do not REMOTELY taste like chestnuts! Can't describe the terrible flavor. What a disappointment for our Thanksgiving dinner. Had to scramble for a different stuffing recipe. Don't be fooled! Lost money on it because it is too late to return. Who has time if you are a working mother. I would give this zero stars.I hope the French producers are listening.
