Shimano SPD Pedal E-PDM520L (Color: silver) clipless pedals

I haven't owned a lot of clipless pedals, so I don't have much to compare these to, but I've been very happy with these pedals so far. I ride about 80-100 miles a week on mostly gravel trails on a gravel/cyclocross-style bike, just for exercise, and the pedals have held up fine. I'm not super concerned about weight, and I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on bike gear, so these were perfect for me. I like the double-sided clip-ins - they make it very easy to get clipped in without too much fuss. The pedals had fine clip-in tension when I installed them, so there was basically nothing to do but screw them in and take off! I don't expect these to last forever, but I'd be happy to buy another pair when these wear out.

I wanted to switch from the Look type pedals to SPD because I find easier to use when training on my stationary bike. And the areas where I ride have many traffic lights. So, I bought these pedals to try them on my road bike. I have to say they are way easier to clip and same range of motion and support as the Look types. The only setback, and I knew it when selected this particular item is their weight. A bit heavier than KEO pedals. But now that I know I can use the SPDs for every day, I will buy some lighter ones in the future, is not a big issue, but keeps my Scott Addict light as it's design.

Bought these for our new Zwift trainer bike. Install is straight forward, no issues, adjusted the tension and they just work.

I am big fan of Shimano so there is no issue with the product. The problem is that there are no instructions included and only references to the website which was not helpful. Since I was replacing a older, similar pair of Shimano pedals, I was able to figure it out. But, if a YouTube video had not informed me that is a small "L" or "R" on the pedals to distinguish between right and left, I never would have known.

Fit my bike perfectly. Easy to install. Easy clipping.

Good pedal

The pedals are great quality and they were a breeze to install. The right pedal is lefty loosey, righty tighty and the left pedal is righty loosey, lefty tighty. The pedals are marked with "L" for left and "R" for right. If you have to force them to thread, you're doing it wrong. 5 minutes max....

Perfect fit

Estoy muy contento con los pedales Shimano E-PDM520. Se sienten sólidos y resistentes, perfectos para soportar rutas exigentes de montaña. El agarre es excelente gracias a los pines, y los pies no resbalan incluso en terrenos húmedos o embarrados. La instalación fue sencilla y se ajustan bien al eje de la bicicleta. Además, giran suavemente y no hacen ruido, lo que hace la experiencia de pedalear mucho más agradable. En resumen, pedales de gran calidad, duraderos y fiables para cualquier ciclista de montaña. ¡Muy recomendable!

Ottimi pedali che uso da anni. Aggancio sempre rapido e preciso anche in presenza di fango o neve. Sgancio sicuro e senza fatica. Ottimi veramente.

No uso otra marca de componentes, son los más guerreros, no son complejos y sus refacciones son fáciles de conseguir, jamás dejaré de usar Shimano.
