It's a great size and weight for the SKLS Pro Hoop and doesn't make the noise that the mini pro ball included with that set does. I bought this to replace the ball that came with my Sklz Pro Mini Basketball Hoop. That ball was too solid, hard, loud and noisy and I wanted a foam one that would be quieter and wouldn't damage anything.This is a basic foam basketball and looks just like the picture. It's maybe a tiny bit smaller in diameter than the Sklz ball, but it's close and in my opinion the perfect size to use with the Sklz net. I was afraid the foam would be too "light" making it hard to shoot, but it's actually fairly solid and weighty as foam balls go so you can take nice shots and it has a bit of bounce off the floor, while still being quiet and low-risk.Why four stars? The colors of the one I got are horrible. It did say "assorted colors" so I knew it could be anything... but mine is purple on one side and an atrocious neon-yellow on the other.So A+ for the ball, D on the paint job.

Folks that are purchasing this for the SKLZ mini hoop and writing bad reviews, listen up. I had purchased the larger 'foam' ball to replace the hard rubber ball that comes with the hoop (comes flat and is useless w/out a pump, plus yes it is indeed too noisy and destructive for indoor use) but the problem even with the softer ball is that it is too large. Most people do not realize that two real size basketballs fit side by side in the cylinder of a real sized hoop (try it and you will see). So those that are complaining that this ball is too small just do not realize that the larger softer ball is disproportionately too large for the SKLZ mini hoop. Sure the smaller size takes a little getting used to but it's the right size for this hoop and after a little practice you will see your shooting percentage soar.

It's just okay, but the colors the seller sends is random. You can't pick and choose unfortunately. They sent me a color combination I didn't like.

My dog loves these balls. They are not like tennis balls but soft because of the foam. I toss them onto the walk and when they bounce she chases then jumps into the air to catch. Just guessing but think the balls may feel like an animal because she can actually sink her teeth into it. Only problems are that I have to keep a rag on hand to wipe the dog "mouth spluge" off the ball before the next bounce. In addition, I have to watch the ball to make sure it is not coming apart to the point that she will swallow any of the foam. They bounce best when not wet, when it is cold outside and on concrete plus the colors are easy to see in low light. The 4"size is almost too big for my pup who weights 52 pounds.

We had two of these but lost one. I prefer these over the ball the came with the backboard and hoop as these are quieter and softer. The cover on these hold up well.

Assortment? The word assortment implies you will receive MORE than 1. All I got was 1 ball. I even paid expedited shipping as I needed this for a children's camp. Well there goes that idea! I placed an order for 2 sets (thinking that I was getting 6 in total as any other normal person would think based on the picture and title of product) and I got 2 balls total.Scam of a title and I want my expedited shipping cost back due to misrepresentation of this item by not using the correct language! Very misleading.
