Amazing! Wish I had a before and after picture.
I bought a skirt for a trip, wore it twice and then washed it with a load of dark clothes (it is dark navy and cream striped) when we got home with some color safe sheets, as I always do for dark loads. As I was putting the load into the dryer, I noticed almost half the skin had red color run on it. I immediately went to work - hand washed it, washed it by itself in the machine, soaked it in vinegar, then tried oxyclean. Nothing touched the run and I was totally devastated…until I did a search on the internet and discovered color run remover. I ordered it as a last ditch effort before striping it and dying it some other color. I followed the directions exactly - filled my washer tub with a small load’s worth of the hottest water I could and dissolved one packet into the water. I then soaked the skirt in the solution, stirring it almost constantly for 3 minutes. It was then that I noticed I didn’t see any red so I pulled the skirt out and the run was completely gone! I couldn’t believe it! I then washed the skirt like normal and dried it. It’s as good as new and I’m totally shocked. The skirt is 100% cotton and I did not test the color fastness prior to trying color run remover because it was already ruined in my eyes, but it didn’t damage the original color at all. I’m so relieved.

Horrible. Garments Worse After Treatment.
One star is not low enough.Out of desperation to fix a sentimental set of pajamas, I had to try this product. My child had a red, white and blue patterned pajamas that were thrown into the wash by accident with a red table cloth. The red table cloth bled, and pinked all the white parts of the pajamas. I tried all oxy products and stain fighter detergents to no results. Tried this product as directed with test spots, seemingly ok. Clothes didn't appear to be colorfast after spot testing, and especially after getting washed at least 20 times before without bleeding I thought I was in the clear.Started to wash with this product and at first there was no change, but then it started to activate. The reds on parts of the shirt bled out and left a mustard brown color. The deep blues were nearly wiped out like acid was jeans. Some parts of the shirt seemed un-phased. In an attempt to stop the product from making things worse, I tried to rinse asap but the damage was done, it continued to bleed for another 10 minutes afterwards. There was no stopping the reaction. Ironically, the pinks I intended to remove are still just as pink with no result. This product worked hard to remove the existing colors that it was not supposed to work on, but not the pink bleed it was intended for. Any chance of saving these pajamas are now completely out of the question, I should've left them alone with the pink bleed. To be honest, I don't know how some people made out good with their results. This product failed miserably. My only advice is only attempt this on a garment you're willing to part with if it doesn't work.

It actually worked!!!
I was so skeptical, but I was also desperate. I washed a pair of designer khakis that are no longer sold with a pair of my husband’s jeans, and the dark blue bled, ruining my khakis (despite the cold water used). I searched online for a new pair and couldn’t find them anywhere, so I switched gears to see if there was any way to reverse the damage and came across this product. I followed the directions exactly as written and it worked!!! I couldn’t believe it (and still can’t!). It completely removed the blue that ran from the jeans into the khakis, restoring their original color. I wore them the other night, and you’d never know there was ever an issue. I am SO GLAD that I tried this Hail Mary method!!

Removed it all
This is gonna sound like an infomercial story, but I promise nobody paid me. I'm still very broke.I really had low hopes when using this as it was my last resort. I accidentally machine washed a green dry clean only suit jacket and didnt realize it had stained 2 of my expensive shirts until I had pulled them out of the dryer (I know!). Both are super light and the splatters of emerald green were impossible to not notice. Ruined. So i start googling which leads me down a rabbit hole to finally here. Saw the reviews so i figured might as well it cant really make it any worse. So I get the box and do a test spot but I let it sit a while to see if it would work, nothing. Hope at resignation levels, I use it and leave the shirts in a pail overnight ~18hrs or so. I was amazed when I took it out and both were clean. I went to different rooms looking at it in different lights to make sure it wasn't wishful thinking. It was all out of both shirts. You could see some traces in one of the threadings but barely. I was so relieved. This seriously works so try it. Even if you don't think it can or that the color is too set or its the wrong fabric for it, Still try it. Worked for me and really what do you have to lose?

Decent, but did not totally remove fade
Grandson washes EVERYTHING together and ruined 3 new white Dri-Fit track team shirts. Parents tried a little bleach and oxy-clean, but shirts still had blue cast. Grandma purchased Carbona, and shirts were a little better after first treatment

It is ok
It didn't really remove all of the color run that I needed it to, but it is ok overall

Can’t believe it worked so well!
I was skeptical because one of my favorite hiking shirts, cream colored, had been in storage in my closet for almost a year. Apparently a new sweatshirt had bled dark dye ALL over it and it had sat that way for many months. I loved the shirt and had tried other Carbona products with much success so figured I would see if they made something for dye. I honestly thought my shirt was a complete gonner, but read another reviewer mentioned they tried it because—what the heck, the thing was ruined anyhow—and I liked the logic. (Apparently this product worked wonders for the other reviewer too.) I followed the instructions almost exactly (left it in a tad longer than recommended) and couldn’t believe my eyes. My hiking shirt, with all its wonderful memories, is back in business. Only the tiniest hint of dye is left on the back of the collar where no one will even notice. Thank you Carbona for making these fantastic products! You have saved yet another bit of my laundry from becoming a dust rag.
