D.R.Harris & Co Arlington Mahogany Shaving Bowl & Shaving Soap 100g

Considering all my shave soaps, this is the best so far by a wide margin. This triple milled soap lasts a long time. It has a mild and pleasant odor - Arlington. My face is not left feeling dry. I am waiting to try the other triple milled soaps from England.

Been using TOBS since started use DE. Good cream but wanted to try a soap. Reviews led me to this. Ok, liked to container too. Have to say this is my new product. Lathers easy and seems like a closer shave but that may be because I took a little extra time.

It's a bit pricey, but it's the best shaving cream I've ever used!!! I recently changed over to a safety razor - "DE razor" - after spending all of my adult life using those far too expensive multi-bladed disposable razors (Mach three zillion), and rotary electric shavers. I ran out of my usual brand shaving cream (Edge - also expensive) and decided to try Barbasol since it was on sale. The results I got from my safety razor and Edge were just ok. Then came the Barbasol. My safety razor didn't like it very much and left a very rough stubble. Unfortunately I had to continue to use it till my D.R.Harris & Co. arrived. Once it did, my first experience made me a believer!!! A perfect shave and not a single nick!I am now a permanent customer of D.R.Harris & Co.!!!Yes it s a bit expensive - the whole reason for abandoning multi-bladed disposables, but the results I got were great! I'm very happy with my Parker 96R safety razor, Feather brand blades, RazoRock Synthetic shaving brush, and D.R.Harris shaving soap!!! The price may deter some people, but you should try it at least once. Those Brits really know shaving!

I really like this soap!...However, I hate the bowl. The bowl is too small, and you cant work up a lather without making a mess. On top of that the adhesive used on top of the bowl as pictured is a nightmare to clean off. If I had known how big of a mess the bowl was i would have passed and just bought the soap. Bottom line pass on the bowl...just buy the soap!

I received the Arlington scent and it smelled incredible. The hint is hard to describe but it's very British/floral/spring-summerish if that makes sense.Now as for the lather- this stuff lathers up a treet. A very dense protective but also slick lather that felt & smelled great throughout a three pass shave.This is one of the last major British soap makers that still uses Tallow and it's very obvious. Don't get me wrong, tallow is not a necessity to make a great soap but I've found personally based on ease of use and cushion I prefer it.TLDR amazing scent, great soap. Go ahead and pull the trigger.

This soap is an absolute winner. It lathers easily and provides a thick protective coating. And the scent is wonderful. I can only describe it as clean and fresh but that hardly does it justice. It's one of my favorites and my wife loves the scent. It doesn't get much better than that.

This shaving soap is superb. It carries a scent that is soft and mild and produces a thin, lubricating lather that spreads easily with a badger brush. I use it along with a Merkur safety razor. I purchased this shave soap 4 months ago and have used only about half the soap, which is great considering that I shave at least 5 days a week. A nice feature is that you can reuse the wooden bowl and just reorder the soap by itself.

I've used several different shaving creams since I moved to a safety razor. This is by far my favorite. It makes the razor glide better and it leaves the skin feeling moisturized and protected. Don't feel the need for aftershave when using this.
