Great for extracting all that slimy hair gunk that’s taken up residence in my shower drain.
This is one awesome little set. Prior to cutting my hair to a little past my shoulders recently it was down past the middle of my back. My husband keeps his hair in a buzz cut, and my son keeps his hair short. Seeing as I am the only person pretty much with hair I didn’t expect much from this. I have never used anything like this plastic thingy to unclog drains before. I just dump a bottle of draino and walk away. I didn’t have a clogged drain I just bought these because my husband made a comment that it’s a wonder I have any hair at all considering how much on the shower floor. So I figured I outta look for something other than draino to clean my hair from the drains in the showers and sinks from when I stand their brushing out my hair or pulling it back. I found several different brands of these. I was initially going for a much more expensive set. I am glad I saw theses a little further down the page. Not only was this brand considerably less expensive, it came with 2 more plastic orange thingy’s and the flexible snake with the claw at the end. I am extremely happy with my purchase and even more so with the results. I was able to snag a few hairs from the sink drain but I did get a small slimy gross glob of long hair from the upstairs shower drain. The downstairs bathroom shower and sink didn’t result in anything which I figured because it rarely used by me. It’s the guest bath so it’s not a high trafficked shower. This product definitely deserves 5 Stars, if able to I would give it more. It works quite amazingly and is extremely well priced. I did see other reviewers saying they had one break while attempting to use. I didn’t have that issue. I am sure the amount of force you use and the severity of the clogged drain has quite a bit to do with it. The one I used was perfect. In fact it was still in such good condition that I washed it with soap and water and after it dried I placed it back in the plastic bag it came in. I highly recommend these thingy’s! I don’t believe you could find something better. I will always make sure to have some of these on hand.

Hair has met its match!!
Clogged up sink has been defeated!! I only had to use the plastic pieces because after prodding around and pulling out so much hair my water drains again so much better. It took me far less time than I expected (~15 minutes) and it was very efficient and effective. Any delay was me being squeamish about the gunk lol. These were perfect and a great use of money compared to drain cleaning gels

Have patience while your doing it.
It does the job, not bad for the price.

If you have hair, you should have this in your house.
I have six kids. Everyone has long or longish hair. Add to that body scrubs, conditioner, bath products, etc, and you can imagine what our drains look like. I needed help, and not a plumber, because who has time for a second job to pay for that? So, I decided to try this. Oh. My. Goodness. I could try and describe to you what I pulled out of the drain, but then I’d feel like I had to pay for your counseling. So, I’ll just say that I felt like I should have put it in a box and buried it with a headstone next to our former guinea pig. The drain is super fast, now. Totally recommend. Works like a charm. Is easy to use. Perfect length.

Just okay
These worked okay. While it did get some hair out of the drain, I found that it easily got stuck and when trying to remove from the drain the plastic started to break. I will use them, but next time I need to buy more I will probably search elsewhere.

Works like a charm
This really does help unclog the drain and helps pull up the hair stuck in the drain. Great value for what you paid for this set. The metal one is great for grabbing little items that fell down the drain. Would buy again if I needed to.

Good removal tool, but effective length is 17"
Used it for both bathtub and sinks. Even though it came coiled, the plastic is very flexible, but sturdy. The only thing I was afraid of was that it can break inside the drain and that would be a REAL problem. But everything worked pretty well. Sorry no pictures of the process as I am not going to make you puke with that disgusting stuff I took out of the drain. The tool is very handy and easy to use - the standard P-trap in the bathtub drain wasn't problem for it. Small but sharp tendrils cleared completely the drain. I didn't even twisted it or did any other weird movement. Just push it in and take out - you are done, almost.. I am sure you want to use it again and again in the future, so you need to clean this thing - that is the toughest part of the job. As those plastic tendrils are not going to let off the "loot" and you gonna spent some time. Pros: It is flexible and solid tool which definitely does it's job. Ready to use as soon as you get it and it is reusable, but not sure how many times. 5 items is a plus for sure and don't forget about the extra item - extractor. Haven't tried it yet. Cons: The effective length of the tool is 16-17 inches (see the picture), what is in description is a full length with the handle. So if you are sure you need something longer then 17", you should keep this in mind. Plastic tendrils which basically do the main job have the tendency to break (see the picture). I think they will work anyway, but not so effective as a new one. So the continuous reusability is under the question.
