This is really just a convenience piece and a cheaper price of a manual juicer. The material is very thin and somehow I got blacken finger after used. (I guess I was holding the edge and somehow it has some oil or something.. not sure as I washed it before use) You really need to put some pressure in order to get your juice out. Lemon works the best. If you want a manual juicer and a low price but don't care about the quality, that will be it. Otherwise you can get something a bit more robust from William Sonoma for $25 exactly the same thing just the material is thicker and heavier.

After breaking the last two glass reamers, I looked for something more substantial. This reamer is perfect for getting every bit of the juice out of my medium to large lemons and the strained juice collects in the bowl. Oh, the bowl has two pour lips so it fits righties and lefties. I would have given five stars if the material were a bit heavier, but maybe that is just a trade off for convenience. Good product!

I thought this was a pretty basic design but it doesn't really work, at least my unit doesn't - 1/2 the juice doesn't run into the reservoir. Frustrated after trying to juice a lemon that all the liquid was getting trapped at the top with the pulp, I tested it with water. For some reason, maybe surface tension, only half of the little holes let the water through, the rest gets stuck on the top. Bad design I'd say and I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a better juicer.

Simple juicer that works better than using glass juicer with a separate strainer. Perfect for a quick fresh glass of oj!

Built fairly well and holds up to the needed pressure of pressing down the fruit. I should have read the dimensions as it is larger than I had expected at just over 6 inches in diameter. Seems more suitable for oranges rather than lemons and limes.
