Sweet deal!
Use sparingly as it is ultra sweet. It doesn't make my Libra 2 (glucose monitor) go off with an alarm, and I use it in my coffee, tea, "diabetic smoothies", and more. It is a powder created to sweeten. It would work well for sweetened whipped cream, but not for cake batter. It does not have the physical properties of sugar. It will not work for making sugar syrup for making liqueurs, let alone a creme. It doesn't thicken. To sweeten it is perfection. To use for the properties of regular sugar, not so much.

Where Have You Been All My Sugar Free Life?
Hello everyone my name is Marilyn and I am a sugarholic. I've been in every back ally of zero calorie sweetners trying to get the high that sugar gives me. I had settled on the cancer blue packets (Aspartame/Equal) and it did help me get through a cup of coffee. But I still used tonnns of the stuff. Blue took a while to get under my taste buds' skin, but once I was hooked, no other came close.Friends would always joke that by the time I finished sweetening my coffee (with sugar or the blue stuff), they didn't know if it qualified as coffee anymore. I didn't pay them any mind because I had found my methadone-like ride or die sweetener.I also ignored many of the earlier studies that said the blue stuff may cause issues with the brain and possibly cancer because they didn't have conclusive human evidence at the time. A more definitive study came out recently linking blue to cancer, so after ignoring my natropathically inclined friend shouting at me to lose the blue stuff, this study sealed the deal of wanting to end my relationship.During all the time I was using blue, I did search for a more natural non-caloric sweetner but none cozied up to my tongue like blue. Sucralose (yellow packet) offered some promise, but it did not taste like sugar and left me with a thirsty feeling as if I didn't just finish drinking liquids. So I after hearing the study, I renewed my search and found Purecane. I had tried the main ingredient Erythritol sweetner (E) before, but again you could taste the difference from sugar quite a bit in the hyper-sweet taste. So, as usual, I went back to blue.Purecane however combining E with Reb-M (which I love the sound of because has my initial and sounds bad-ass) seems to tame the hyper-sweetness. I tasted the crystals straight out of the jar and liked the taste (surprised I didn't just snort it...hahaha). When I had it in my coffee the first time, it didn't have a super strong artificial taste, which a trying to reform sugar addict can sense it right away.Moral if the story is I am switching to Purecane in hopes that it is truly a more natural way forward in fighting the sugar monkey on my back. I do hope that it catches on to the point where it can be mass produced to rival the blue, pink, and yellow boys at the top of the heap and come down in cost. After all this junkies on a budget.

Love the taste & quality!
Fantastic product! I'm a diabetic so I have to watch my sugar intake. This sweetener tastes great! Only need half of what I'd use if it were "real ordinary sugar". Last I heard, this product has been discontinued unfortunately.

No aftertaste in beverages, sweetens, great packaging!
I use this to sweeten hot drinks like hot chocolate, coffee and have also tried it in tea. It is really great and I think the best non sugar sweetener I've tried. (I've tried monkfruit, a few different stevia). My problem with other sweeteners is they either have an additional taste to it or they don't sweeten enough, and if they don't have much of a taste then the more you use the more you notice they do have a taste. With this you don't use that much, but if you do use a bit more it doesn't have a strong non-sugar taste like others do. Using it in hot chocolate, with pure raw cacao, I did have to use a bit more because cacao is so bitter, but it sweetened it well and I think I MIGHT have noticed a slight taste, BUT it might have also been the bitter cacao. So I would say not aftertaste. I can't speak for using larger amounts like in baking though. But I think I tried near a tablespoon in 16 oz of beverage and that's considered a lot according to the package because you're mean to use less than you would than if it were sugar.I didn't notice any gastrointestinal effects, not sure if this is associated with that like some other non-sugar sweeteners.I also like the packaging. For a lot of sugars, powders or things of that nature, I don't prefer them in zip lock type packaging, especially if you're going to be going into them everyday. This sits cleanly on your counter, has a wide mouth and is a shallow jar, so it's easy to dip in and out of without mess or wasting product.

Expensive substitute
I used the Purecane as a substitute for refined sugar and for Splenda. The taste (which varies from person-to-person) to me was sweet without any aftertaste or bitterness. Unfortunately, the availability decreased and the price increased substantially. Consequently, I stopped using it. If the price had remained reasonable and the product available at all times, I probably would have continued using it --- and would have given it 4 stars (not 5 because sugar it ain't!).

good
no aftertaste when used on baked goods, fruits, yogurt, etc. DO get an aftertaste, or rather it changes the taste of my black coffee when used in it BUT, you do get use to it apparently for am now using a tbsp of it in each of my two mug of coffee everyday with no more issues. like most keto sugar types, if you add a drop or two of liquid sweetener with it, it rids of aftertaste and makes the keto sugar pop.. i did add a drop of liquid slucralose (ezsweetz) when i first started switching over to this sweetener, i liked my coffee better with that drop in it but, now don’t use any for my fasting blood glucose was high with my last 2 lab work and although i thought i was fat adapted and why my ketone levels ranged .03-.05, it turned out the veryyy long term use of ezsweetz, an artificial sweetener, was perhaps my culprit, it was for since switching to this zero cal/carb sugar daily less than 2 weeks ago, my ketones are now over 2 and my fasting BG’s are 65-75 regularly (not verified by lab work yet).. i go to their site and buy the refill pack though now, canisters don’t hold enough to warrant buying it to use daily.

Purecane!
Best sweetener so far! What's most important is it doesn't have any after taste at all compared to other artificial sweeterner like stevia.
