Put this on a Loomis rod it worked flaulessly

Love this reel, it’s identical to the photos and the action on it couldn’t be smoother, the only issue I seem to have with it is that the nut that holds the handle on doesn’t like to stay tight and the cap screw that holds the foam piece on the handle likes to undo itself while you reel, other than that no complaints.

This is a nice looking reel out of the box and seems to operate smoothly but sizing is just strange for a 1000. The grip is just too big. It's a good grip size for a 4000 and up. The foot is also too big for mounting to an ultralight rod. It's both long and thick with the potential to crack the reel seats. All in all for a light jigging setup for trout this is awkward to hold and use. It just feels imbalanced.

Really smooth have caught fish that are 5lb plus no issues.

I bought this for river salmon fishing on my 13.6 noodle rod. Its been fantastic. Looks really nice and so far has worked flawlessly. I've caught several fish in the 15-20lb range without issue.

This is a beautiful reel, but the handle is too big
