I first stumbled upon this product through an Instagram ad and almost made a purchase, but a helpful reviewer saved me! They pointed out that the pink bottle being advertised (a full-body foam, not the face mist) wasn't the authentic Coco & Eve. The real deal, they insisted, was the cream-colored bottle, which didn't leave a sticky residue and had that amazing fruity scent reminiscent of Hi-Chews. The pink bottle, on the other hand, was a sticky mess with an off-putting smell.Naturally, I hopped on Amazon, and sure enough, found the cream-colored bottle the reviewer raved about. Lesson learned: always check Amazon first for better prices and faster shipping! I truly feel like I dodged a bad product purchase right from the start.Now, about this product – I absolutely love it! As someone with incredibly fair skin who burns easily and can turn alarmingly orange with the wrong self-tanner, I can confidently say this stuff is incredible. I was also fortunate to realize that Ulta was selling the "dark" shade, which would have been a disaster for my complexion. I hadn't realized there were three options: Medium, Dark, and Ultra Dark. The medium shade was a perfect choice, even though I was initially worried it might be too much.The included glove is pure bliss – so soft and, in my opinion, essential for a smooth application, along with prior exfoliation. I used two pumps, blending in small circles until it was absorbed. The darker tint allowed me to see exactly where I was applying it, which was super helpful for my fair skin. It dried instantly with no sticky feeling – a huge win! The scent was pleasant during application, though it does develop a slight metallic smell an hour or so later. However, it's not bothersome, even for someone as sensitive to smells as I am.I showered about four hours after application, and while the initial rinse was brown, the resulting color was a beautiful, natural-looking golden glow. I applied a bit more a few days later, left it on longer, and the color was still fantastic. I'm beyond pleased! After trying countless self-tanners, I've finally found my new go-to. I have tried different self tanners and this one has been favorite. Even though others may stay longer, this ones goes on without the streaks. I feel like I always get streaks with the rest. I always use the glove and just pay attention to get around elbows and ankles. I am very pale and use the medium. It smells good too! I will put it on night and take a shower the next day so it takes off some the excessive and it looks more real. It stays for a few days then starts to fade. However, I feel like my legs stay a little tanner than normal. It will fade real quick if your constantly in the water.

I don’t understand how this product has bad reviews. This is the best self tanner I’ve used & I’ve used a lot (Jergens, St. Tropaz, IL Makiage). Does this get on your sheets? Yes but so does every other tanner, I don’t care, I just wash my sheets. This tanner smells amazing, my husband loves it & wishes there was a lotion (non tanner). When you use the product with the mit, it goes on evenly & you don’t streak. I did try it on my face & broke out but I have very sensitive skin. After 1 use I have a nice glow, after a few days I have a fantastic tan.

This product is great, it’s the first self tanner that hasn’t left me splotchy and orange. I use the mit that it comes with the foam goes on super smooth and the color develops beautifully within 20 minutes you have the perfect tan. I’ve been using self tanners for many years - st tropez was my favorite for a long time and then the last 4-5 years I’ve been using beauty by earth. I would give this one 4 1/2 stars if I could. I’m not sure that the perfect five star self tanner actually exists for pale people. But this coco and Eve self tanner exceeded my expectations. I think the color is very good - it’s not orange or yellow (I am fair with dark hair and freckles). It also gets me much tanner in one application than beauty by Earth does. I personally find this smell to be very perfumed and overwhelming, but when I apply this, my husband always tells me I smell good 😂 If you are using self tanner for the first time, I probably wouldn’t recommend this one. It’s not goof proof. You need to know how to apply self tanner for this to go on evenly.

I was looking for a self-tanner that didn’t leave me smelling and because some of the reviews I chose this one. You will still stink. I’ve decided this is just unavoidable. The first time I used this I applied it before going outside and washing my car. Bad idea. My arm accidentally touched my car while soaping and within seconds it stained my white paint. It will also rub off on your clothing so wear old clothes or dark colored clothes you don’t care about until you shower it off. With that said, the color is good and looks natural. My coworkers complimented my skin color and had no idea it came from a bottle. It goes on easy and doesn’t leave streaks or splotches. It last at least a week before starting to fade. The mit is awkward and useless. The product will just soak into it and be wasted. I always apply self-tanner while wearing latex gloves. I recommend this for the color but beware it will stain other items and as with other tanners will still smell like a lump of biscuit dough from the bottom of a dumpster.
