Can these units be converted to propane ?

I’ve seen kits to do this but it’s not made by Honda. I put an extended run gas tank on mine - it runs up to 36 hours on 6 gallon boat take.

Can each unit be used as separate units

Yes, they can. The companion unit has the 30A plug as well as the 20A plug. The primary unit has 2 20A plugs. Therefore, when used alone, the companion or the primary unit can individually generate up to 20A service. Both units are needed to support 30A service.
