Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT16G4SFRA266

I purchased this ram stick to increase ram in my HP Pavilion laptop.Now my laptop is running blazing fast.

The Picture is the SS of the Task manager after installing the RAM of 8gb to the existing 4gb (DDR4). Now I have 12gb of RAM. Make sure that your device has additional Slot to add the RAM. Else the existing RAM will be replaced by the additional RAM you bought.I have Asus Laptop. Due to Budget issue, 6 months back, I went for a lower end laptop with 4gb DDR4 RAM & 1TB ROM. All these days I struggled like anything due to Lagging & hanging. It used to lag /hang because my device had just 4gb RAM which is not at all enough even for some browsing & streaming & some excel, tally work purposes. I was literally disappionted with the laptop & used to blame my fate for buying this laptop.But, but, but.. after my friends suggested me to add additional RAM, I finally bought & added 8gb more (today (29.08.2021). Booom ! It was a magic. As of now I'm extreemly happy with the product & No hanging or lagging issue at all. Now I can open N number of apps at a time check screeshot attached). Im very much thankful to Crucial (manufacturer) & Amazon. No complaints on amazon. Such a smooth delivery it was.p.s : My laptop has clock speed of 1.2 & turbo boost upto 3.5 GHz. May be that could also be the reason for even more smoother performance. So It depends upon clock speed also.One important point : Choose the right seller : very important. Initially I ordered with a lower rated seller because he's offering around Rs.200 lesser than other Popular seller's price. ( even I did'nt aware that I should not only consider Product rating, but also Seller's rating) Never do like that. He sent me a broken piece of wood instead of RAM. I was literally disappointed that time. But, thank God, Amazon standed with me. Immediately I got good response from Amazon end, & I got full refund for it ( though it was a replacement policy). I'm very much greatful to Amazon for this pupose. So reordered again with another seller (appario). & got the genuine product yesterday & got it installed today.So must choose a right seller.Last but not least, Love you Amazon. Your service is just incredible. I blamed Amazon when I recieved Broken product, I thought I should never shop again on Amazon, ever. But Amazon did'nt let that happen. Their executive supported me a lot in receiving the refund. Thanks once again to Amazon. & thank you for reading such long review.

Nice product working good for my laptop

This 4GB RAM is 2666Mhz SDRAM with latency of CAS 19. It can function as 2400Mhz RAM with latency of CAS 17 in case you already have a 2400Mhz RAM in another slot or your bus don't support 2666Mhz as in case of AMD laptop CPUs which only upto support 2400Mhz.You can install this RAM in your laptop only if you have an extra empty SODIMM slot or if your current RAM is damaged and you want to replace it. Many laptops nowadays come with soldered RAM which can't be removed or upgraded and in such cases, this RAM is not to be bought. Also, one must take care that the RAM slot is DDR4 and not any other type as DDR4 RAM will not fit in DDR3 or DDR2 slots.Dual channel support-There is a misconception that dual channel requires 2 identical RAM of same size, same brand and latency. This is only partly true. One van easily install 4Gb RAM along with another 8GB RAM (or even 16GB RAM) and still get a partial dual channel mode called "FLEX" channel where 4GB from both RAM sticks will be in dual channel while the extra RAM will be in single channel. The performance difference between dual channel and flex channel is minimal at about 2% FPS reduction when playing games. But the cost difference is about Rs 1300. If one doesn't need 16GB RAM, then installing 8+4 = 12GB RAM is enough and one doesn't have to fear loss of dual channel and save some money in the process. I myself have installed this RAM along with another 8GB SAMSUNG RAM. One has to only ensure that that CAS latency and Mhz speed to be identical to ensure maximum performance in flex channel mode.The performance of Crucial RAM and SAMSUNG RAM appears identical in all the benchmark tests I have run. The only negative is that Crucial only offers 3 year warranty whereas companies like ADATA offers 10 year warranty.

This review is going to be very informative.I am using Lenovo IdeaPad 320 which has 4 gb RAM , 1 Tb internal memory. Clockspeed is ~1000Mhz. Heavy softwares like Photoshop, RStudio etc could not function properly. Photoshop for instance demanded more RAM point blank.The Crucial 8 gb ram has greatly improved the performance. Can use Photoshop without any problem. (It used to close off after some time befor I installed the RAM). The overall performance of the pc has increased 2 fold.Reminder- the clockspeed will be the same as the RAM with lower clockspeed. In my case the Cruical Ram is having ~ 1000Mhz clockspeed since the older Ram has the same. My pc is slightly faster, because the performance has increased, but it won't be too faster than before. You will have to install SSD for that purpose. I will install one when I can.All in all I am truly satisfied with the Cruical 8gb RAM.There are many youtube reviews. You can check them out.

I am a programmer, and coder so its working completely fine for me

This RAM is working fine after 1 year of usage. But when I installed it a year ago, the default RAM of my Dell G3 15 ran for 3 days and stopped working. I don't know if it was because of this RAM or something else. This RAM is working as expected.

Fiz uma pesquisa extensa antes para saber quais as melhores marcas de memória RAM, e a Crucial foi uma das principais recomendações. Tem três semanas que meu laptop está rodando com a memória nova, e consigo usar máquina virtual, rodar programas da Adobe e jogar jogos tranquilamente. Super recomendo!A instalação no slot foi bem simples de fazer, porém encontrei um problema com o Windows, que se recusava a incializar após eu inserir a memória nova. Fui descobrir que era uma reclamação de paridade do próprio Windows mesmo, pois os slots de RAM do meu laptop estavam com 16 x 8, e o recomendado é sempre ser duas memórias de capacidades iguals, 8x8, 16x16, etc. Após configurar o Windows para aceitar a configuração 16x8, ele inicializou normalmente, e desde então, não tive mais problemas.

I had been looking to add RAM to my synology DS224+ and found this kit after erroneously buying a non-compatable stick. This allowed me to save around $60 without buying Synologys rebranded memory while retaining its compatibility. I had no error messages after installing and my system loads photos significantly faster. I've heard some say that this can void your warranty but my DS224+ manual states that the warranty will only be void if the RAM caused the issue. Maybe i'm living in the fast lane but i think this is a non-issue

I gave my mom a Dell desktop a couple of years ago that only had 4gb RAM. I thought that would be enough for her, but this has been useful for giving her a bit of a boost.
