Great for aggressive chewers
Was looking for a chew for my 55 lb Irish Setter, and 20 lb Mini Bernedoodle that would last longer than 10 minutes. Yak Cheese treats are long lasting and the dogs love them. The cost is offset by how long they last.

My boy loves these
These chews are great, they do not stain carpet or smell bad. My dog loves these and is so excited to get one. I love that they last longer than a week.

Good most of the time, sometimes it smells like death
I buy these all the time, this time was different.I gave one to each of my two dogs and I sat down to eat my dinner, afterwards I sat down to watch a show. Perhaps 10 minutes later I smelled what I thought was a rotting mouse or possibly the nastiest sweatiest feet I have ever smelled and I said something to my wife like do you smell that? She sniffed and then got this look on her face and said that's definitely a dead mouse, and then I got lucky to be the one tasked with finding the corpse.Well, after tearing apart my living room, my couch, looking in my vents, I still found nothing, but I took a step towards the dogs sitting on their beds chewing their cheese and it got worse. Then I saw the hole I captured in this photo... then stupidly I smelled the hole. It smells like rotting meat inside a dirty gym sock. This was not how I wanted to spend my evening, hopefully it doesn't make the dog sick but only time will tell. The rest of the bag might be okay, but this chew was the nastiest thing I've smelled in a long time.

Dog loves them but they don’t last as long as I’d hoped.
These seem like good quality, my medium-sized dog loves them. I’d say that he’s a moderate to high level chewer, but again- he’s not a large dog. He finished one of these in less than 2 days. I was hoping these would last close to 2 weeks with how pricey they are. I would think a larger dog might be able to finish one of these in just a few hours. They are rock hard but I guess they might soften a little with the dog saliva. These DO have a smell. I keep a very tidy and clean home, and these smell like a campfire/fire smoke. I prefer this smell over the smell of rawhides or animal bones, however. These are a little messy but nothing when compared to most other chews. There might be a few small pieces of the chew on the floor but other chews seem to get shredded and embedded into my rugs. These aren’t that bad in comparison.I’m also nervous about mold potentially being in them due to another review that I saw. None of mine sounded hollow, but I’m still paranoid about it. I would be very upset if my dog were to become ill due to these treats, so I might be swapping to another brand, but I’m not sure yet.

Finally - something that actually lasts a long time!
I have two adult boxers and nothing, I mean nothing lasts and I just accept that if I give them something to chew, it will be gone in minutes. I was looking for an alternative and have eyed yak cheese up for a while and thought, even though they are expensive per piece, they were worth a try. These last so long!! I can give them one for at least 30-45 minutes each time and take it away for another day - multiple times. I give it to them in their crate b/c they flake off and make a bit of a mess but it's not that bad and the pieces sweep or wipe right up. I don't mind the smell and I love that it's all natural and safe.We haven't even finished one full piece and at this rate, it will last probably 5+ chewing sessions. So yes, per piece they are expensive but if I'm getting that many uses out of each one, totally worth the price! And they love them and don't want to give them up...edit: I finally got to a piece that I felt was too small and I did the microwave thing, maybe 30 sec? It turns it into a crispy cheese puff and I let them eat it in their crates because it will have a lot of crumbs.

These are great for heavy chewers!!
They are a VERY long lasting chew…..very good for hard core chewers….in my opinion. They do break in half long ways though if dropped…..even so they are great long lasting chews!

Chiweiners love them
I discovered these as recommended by my pups foster mom. Our Daezie is an aggressive chewer and we were running out of option to keep her busy. If she gets bored she gets naughty lol. She loves these and they take her a long time to finish. It was recommended to microwave them when the piece gets too small. They puff up at about 60 secs. I then put them in the fridge to cool down because they stay hot for awhile and she is impatient. What I discovered was my older chiweiner Maezie likes them puffed up better. So now I make sure I save her some of the pieces that have been microwaved. I usually by the 8 pack of small size but I did buy the 3 pack of medium and they were just a bit to big. I took them out in the garage and hit them with a hammer to break them up and then microwave them. They are surprisingly very hard! I keep them in the bag when I hit them so they didnt fly everywhere. I just wish there was a better price break now that both dogs are eating them it gets a bit expensive.

Great for Dogs that Love to Chew
They are a nice size. My dog loves Yak Cheese. She is a chewer. She doesn't destroy toys per say, but loves to chew on them. The Yak keeps her entertained for hours. When they get too small and I worry about choking? I will put it in the microwave and it becomes like a big Cheeto. She also loves that stage and crunches it up.

Uneven odor quality
I have bought several packets of this brand over the last several months and have noticed that some packets have a distinctive unpleasant odor of MOLD embedded into the cheese stick itself - while other packets are free of odor. But what keeps me buying this brand is the value of the product for quantity. overall it is a decent buy and the overall quality of the product is very decent.

Good may consider to buy again
It's good time pass for my pup but only 1 piece was really thick and rest are small.
