Very basic information
This book is for someone who has never cooked before. I was very disappointed and feel ripped off as I payed a premium price for it! The information did not go any further than the three page information sheet That I received at the hospital! I could have written this book based on the hospital information! 👎🏼

Can't trust info
I ordered this book for my husband who has suffered diverticulitis. The diet instructions were totally opposite to what my husband had heard from his GI doctor. We tried to verify the author's qualifications and there was no author information in the book (there is a self instruction on the Amazon page). If a book doesn't have author background, how can we trust the information in the book?

The concept is easy. I like the fact that when adapted
I do not know what low residue diet is. This book introduces me to it. The concept is easy. I like the fact that when adapted, there will be lesser changes in my lifestyle. It is only that this book is encouraging me to eat less. That is something I have to curb, my tendency to overeat.

Great
This book is print on demand so you can't just run out and pick it up. Your local bookstore or major chain will need at least 2 weeks notice, Amazon gets it done in 2 days. Totally perfect!!! It has great information and provides some great recipes. My grandparents were feeling discouraged with the new diet and with this book they have a lot more information and options for both cooking and eating out. It has helped a lot.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed in this cook book; it had only a few recipes and was not helpful at all. Unfortunately, as far as I and Barnes and Noble can tell, this is the only low residue cook book on the market. Please consider doing a second edition with numerous recipes like a normal cookbook.

Sad that Amazon rating has no stars
Sad that Amazon rating has no stars. No useful guidance in the grim world of low residue when you need helpful information..

Would never recommend it.
Very poorly written book with very few recipes. Disappointing. Tons of grammatical errors and incorrect sentence structure. I can’t believe this book was even published. Would never recommend it.

Meh not great
Disappointed in the recipes. There should be recipes for different phases. Ex: relapse, remission phases

Don't waste your money
The start of the book has good information information about IBD - but I bought it for the cook book aspect of it. I found that they weren't really recipes, but pretty much just ways to season or marinade meat and cook it. Not what I was looking for at all. Managed to find a much more appropriate book. It cost twice the amount of this one but the information is invaluable for someone like myself with Crohn's disease and having to follow a low residue diet.

Low residue diets should not have to be this unhealthy...Or uninspired.
If you still want to follow as healthy a diet as possible - despite having to have a low-residue/fibre diet - don't bother with this book.I bought this looking for recipes to help manage symptoms during radiotherapy treatment. I was horrified to see recipes such as cola chicken - yes, chicken cooked in a can of diet cola. Or how about pork chops in brown sugar and mustard? Really?!!There are plenty of other high-sugar recipes too - no use if you're trying to cut out sugar to combat cancer. And do you really need recipes telling you how to make simple pancakes? Or a plain omelette? Or a cup of herb tea?As for the list of foods you can include and those to avoid - if you have any of the conditions this book is for, you will probably be given a list from the hospital anyway.I bought this an hour ago and after looking through it in growing despair, I have already deleted this from my Kindle. Avoid.

Recipes
Good cookery book. Is what it is but has a lot of ingredients that I do not keep in my cupboard so had to go shopping for them.
