Silver Brushed and Polished Metal Classic Picture Frame ~ 5x7 Photo Frame ~ Glass Front

I was so disappointed that this picture frame arrived broken. It was packaged inappropriately. It was a frame in the typical thin cardboard covering and then it was inserted in a slightly padded envelope. I don't know how anyone thought this could survive shipment. Picture frames most definitely need to be packaged in a box. Fortunately I was able to return the frame, but of course that did me no good because I'm still without a frame.

This frame's opening for your picture is only 4.25 x 6.25 inches, whereas a typical 5x7 frame has a larger opening of 4.5 x 6.5 or more. So IF you don't need/want to display all the details around the edges of your picture and want a tighter crop, then this is a nice looking frame. Outside dimensions 6.125 x 8.125.

I ordered these based on price + customer reviews. They are presumed to be new. I ordered 3 of them. After I gave the first one away, I opened both of the others. Much to my chagrin, I discovered that both have some damage on the front. One has a deep nick, revealing brass or another metal. The other has scuffs on the front. Both appear to have been used. These are going back.

I bought 3 of these and filled them with nostalgic family photos as a gift to my daughter. The frames can be stood on a shelf or hung on the wall. They do not clash with color photos and look much more expensive than they are. They all arrived well packed and unbroken.

I bought two of these frames to put pictures of my newborn son in them - one for my mom and one for my wife. Both frames out of the box had a used look to them - small scratches or nicks here and there that are mostly unnoticeable at first glance. The real kicker though is the metallic framing on the front face is held on with some real shoddy double sided tape. It was slightly warped and pulling away from the frame in spots. You can forcibly push down on the "laminate" (if that's what one might call it) to get it to stick again but within hours, it's peeling away again. I went ahead and shipped one to my mom with the baby pic in it. The other one was sitting on my dining room table, waiting for my wife to see. She picked it up and in an attempt to unfold the leg on the bag pulled the leg and hinge right out of the backing. Instead of the hinge opening, it just tore right through the cardboard/fabric backing, rendering the frame completely useless. I went with a cheap frame and I got a cheap frame.

This frame is of better quality than it looks in the picture. I am giving it as a gift and it came inside it's own nice green box with wrapped in tissue and bubble wrap. This is the perfect frame to have engraved although I didn't do that. High quality for the price!

I gave this too my husband the night before we got married. Everyone at his work who is married has a picture of their spouse and I wanted him to have somthing nice to put one in after the wedding. He loved it and it loos much more expencive than it was.

The backing for the photo frame does not hold the picture tightly to the frame, but the picture is flush and sits in the frame well when centered an taped. From an observer's standpoint, it looks just fine and the overall frame presents well.
