When I got my new bike, it was with the thoughts of retirement. I really want to be able to ride around the neighborhood with my miniature poodle (about 13 lbs). First, I bought a bag type carrier. She was strapped by 1 anchor, but to help secure her, I had to pull the top of the bag closed, and I believe the bottom wasn't really sturdy as it was more bag-like for her feet which would've been an awkward feeling for a dog I assume. I saw this carrier initially, but the STEEP price with the reviews of a lack of sturdiness was a huge turn-off. Also, it requires an install of a metal rack first (which it comes with). Honestly, I think this rack is what sets this carrier apart from the rest, making it more sturdy & secure to your bike. I wasn't really pleased with the bag I found initially so I started shopping again & I really wanted something more box like, not like a bag. I came back to this one, as it also has a separate purchase of a hood/cover (haven't tried yet). I noticed that they had Warehouse returns at more than half the cost so I bought one. My husband said the model I purchased hadn't been opened. He found it to be a very easy install. I was thrilled to see the 2 leash anchors. I guess I missed that in the description. The seller really should market that feature. With an anchor strap on either side of your dog (and they are adjustable), it really keeps the dog securely inside until they are comfortable and won't try to bolt. Sturdiness....no, it doesn't feel like a $70 basket. But at the same time, I don't really know how the lack of a firm feel will cause it to fail at a later time. It has a thick, removable cover for washing, and once your basket is on the bike, unless your dog is crazed, biting, & digging, the lack of a sturdy basket shouldn't be a quality issue. This was the perfect purchase for my miniature poodle. I will be trying the hood / cover next.

I am very happy with the quality and sturdiness of this basket. I like the solid feeling sides and the soft fleece lining. There are also two leads that you can buckle your dog in so that they won’t be able to jump out. There are two pockets on either side, which will be very helpful to carry a leash, bags, water, etc. I have a 12 to 14 pound Papillion and she fits perfectly and comfortably in the large basket. Installation would have been simple, but just as a tip, I have a Lectric e-bike, and due to the T shape of the handlebars and head tube of the bike, the included spacer was unnecessary. I wasted a good 45 minutes getting trying to get it to work. It’s not needed on my particular bike. It seems like it will hold on the bike very well, and I like the lift off feature. If it turns out to be a mess, I will re-edit this review.

Fairly easy to assemble the downside on this is that it has quite a bit of sway when riding. I've added a bungee cord and it helps quite a bit (pictured above). Feels like the nature of having a front bike carrier, but much easier to keep an eye on your pet. The secure straps allow your pet to move around, but not to jump out. Also, if you tip the bike over, your pet will be somewhat secure and avoid a big injury. We go on pretty long rides as well, of an hour and more and she loves it. You do need to be a decent rider because of the extra weight on the front tire, which needs to be a max inflation. If you aren't a good rider, that has a decent bike then you need to avoid a front carrier all together. Happy Cycling.

This is really easy to put on your bike without extra tools; the straps are easy to use and keep your dog securely in the basket, and the cover seems to make my dog less anxious while in the basket. For the sake of transparency, it has been a few months and my dog is still terrified. That might be because I didn't start riding with her until she was 15. If you know your dog is fine in a basket, this will be a great basket. Don't be surprised if your dog is less thrilled with the basket than you are, though.

Took my dog out for a bike ride and she did extremely well inside the basket.

I have a medium size dog (Coton de Tulear) and she fits in this nicely. I took her out in it no more than 3 times, and today I decided to take her out in it again but noticed a tear down the corner of the basket!! I am SO UPSET about this because when I bought it -- the price after taxes came to almost $88 for this pet basket. Please be aware: this basket stays on the bike, I do not take it off and put it back on, NO, it was meant to be permanently fixed to the bike, so how the tear happened had to be from biking alone. So, that is NOT GOOD and NOT SAFE. I know Amazon has a nice return policy, however, the return window for this product says it ended 3 weeks ago, therefore I am stuck with it. VERY DISAPPOINTING because the price tag for this WAS NOT CHEAP. I will call Amazon and see if they can help me, or if they can put me in touch with the manufacturer to see if they stand by their product for replacement. Clearly, this is a defective item. I will update my review after any customer service outcome.

Hoping that if I post a review, the manufacturer will provide me with an email address. The buckle on the basket is broken. The basket is a fine size. And the dog mostly stays in it. Let the buckle was broken when it arrived. Hate to send the whole thing back for a small piece of plastic.

We have an 18lbs Rat Terrier, this bike seat with the front mount works great for him. Our other dog is a 25 lbs Cairn Terrier, the front mount was not sturdy enough so I purchased the rear mount and it’s perfect. I realize the weight limit is 20 lbs but I could not find a seat to accommodate a dog that size so I just decided to see it I could make it work. There is no way he could securely/safely ride with the front set up but the rear set up is much more sturdy. We just did a 15 mile ride and he was comfortable, happy and safe. The mount did not move at all. This dog bike seat exceeded my expectations.

Das ist die Tier - Fahrradtasche! Meine ersten waren Kaprice instabil. Die jedoch ist von bester Verarbeitung und Güte. Von den Maßen her einer der größten da mein Hund nun ausgewachsen ist und um die 5,7 kg hat. Lenkerhalterung ist okay, habe beide Enden am Lenker nach unten gebogen. Außerdem beide Tragegurte mit am Lenker befestigt. Den Boden habe ich mit zugeschnittener Gartenknieschoner Matte ausgelegt, da der Boden keine hatte. Der Preis ist schon sehr hoch aber ich hatte lange recherchiert, da gibt es für meine Vorstellungen nach nichts vergleichbares. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

I love this basket although I bought it for a mobility scooter so the bracket isn’t suitable I just attached it with the two straps. It’s just big enough for my two mini yorkies together and I found a waterproof cover for it while it’s not in use. It has two pockets one mesh which I keep doggy wipes in and a zipper pocket large enough for treats, leads any little extras you need to take on a walk I highly recommend this basket

I absolutely LOVE this basket!!! My fur babies are approx 10lbs, I bought the xlg, 2 to be exact, and I'm glad I did! It's PERFECT!! The sides are nice and solid, enough room so they are comfortable. Again, I purchased the xlg for my 10lb dog, not confidant it would be good for a 20lb dog but it would depend. The only thing I didn't like are the bike attachments. I don't feel they are secure or safe enough BUT we have e-bikes with a front utility rack and with some Jimmy rigging I'm confidant my pups will be safe. I can't wait to go out there and enjoy some outdoor time and bring my babies with me. I also purchased the top cover and love it!

Stabil, gutes Konzept für Hunde bis max. 8 kg. Lenkerbefestigung sehr schwächlich, lässt sich aber mit handwerklichem Geschick einfach deutlich verbessern. Sollte vom Hersteller selbst serienmäßig verstärkt werden. Dann 5 Sterne.
