How did I survive without this fan???
I live in an old house with single pane windows and window AC units. You freeze in the winter & boil in the summer. I typically buy a fan like this every 2-3 years for every room of the house. Up to this point I'd been getting the Wind Tunnels, but saw this one on sale & thought I'd try it because my normal brand was out of stock and my old one just wasn't cutting it anymore. And oh my gawd .... I'm hooked. First - this thing actually does cool the air. My living room is normally about 5-7 degrees hotter than outside, even with the AC running. I'm sitting here, on an 80 degree June day, wrapped in a fleece blanket on my couch and a thick pair of socks because it is that cold in my living room, and I'm not even sitting in front of it! It's on the other side!! AND it's on the lowest setting!!! It's super quiet too compared to other similar sized fans of this style (I've been using a 20inch fan on a daily basis for over 15 years, so I know loud when I hear it). I can sit right next to it and still hear the TV. If you can't stand the sound of a fan, then of course it's loud. But if you're used to a box fan or a cyclonic fan of this size and you're replacing one, then you'll be surprised how quiet it is. And it's much quieter than the window AC unit by a LOT. And it pushes the air far!!! My living room/kitchen is around 300sq ft and I can feel it in a direct line halfway through the kitchen and it sits on the far side of the living room. Definitely a good value. I've had to sleep under my winter blanket when I place this in the bedroom and have it pointed at me. I'm definitely getting this fan again. And again. And again.Edit: so I got this in early June, and now first week of November it's started this weird thing like it is trying to slow down or die, then a minute later goes back to full speed randomly. So I tried plugging it in elsewhere and same thing. It didn't even last 6 months. Total bummer. Now I need to go find another one.

Great fan!!
This is a great fan! I was worried it would be too small because of the pictures on the site. But once I received the product I realized it was big. I’m using it for work to circulate air in a small booth/office. It works so great!! It is so powerful that even on low it creates a wind storm! It isn’t loud so I can still hear people speaking around me. Very good investment and will help give some relief to the 115 degree weather we have. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a strong, lightweight fan.

Wore out in two months
The fan was amazing for the first four weeks. Moved the air nicely, and was very quiet. Then it started to make a slight ticking noise. Over the next four weeks it progressively got louder to a point where it is obnoxious with a loud, constant thumping. I think the problem is within the motor bearings. Of course when it started to go bad, it started just after Amazon 30 day return window.

I WANNA MARRY THIS FAN
I am a walking furnace. I could probably sleep in a walk in cooler. When my other floor fan kicked the bucket I was at first hesitant to buy this because it's made of plastic. I read some reviews and NOW I WANT THOS FAN IN EVERY ROOM IN MY HOUSE. It is SO QUIET, and so much more powerful than my previous industrial floor fan. The 'low' setting sends a thick wave a continuous cool air much more powerfully than the 'high' setting on my old industrial fan! I place it over the floor vent for my a/c and boom this room is SO COOL. Do NOT buy this fan if you're one of those micro humans that freezes to death in 80 degree weather. This fan is for those of us who love cool air. If this fan looked a little more like Idris Elba I'd propose. Deadass.

I was skeptical of buying an all plastic fan
I was skeptical of ordering what looks like a cheap plastic fan. There were no ratings here on Amazon, and it took forever to get here so I wasn't expecting much. When I took it out of the poorly packaged and unmarked box, I realized I was right. It's a cheaply made plastic fan. My goodness, not even a brand name on the flimsy all white box? That's a little disconcerting. When I first plugged it in, being used to a much louder and heavier metal-bladed and metal-housed industrial type Patton fan I purchased years ago, I could hardly hear it, thinking it wasn't working right. But then stepping away from it I realized it's putting out almost as much air as that old one did, and much much quieter. The higher speed of this fan is quieter than the lowest speed of the old fan, and the output seems to be about the same for all speeds as it was for that older one.As mentioned, it has a cheap feel to it. The plastic housing feels like it may be from recycled plastic. The carry handle flexes when I pick it up, and the two halves that surround the blade weren't even fully attached together when I pulled it out of the box. Snapping it back together, it just felt cheap.I wanted an all black, round 20" fan that I can keep in a family room, with the control on top so I don't have to bend over every night to turn it off. I know, no big deal. But I couldn't find a picture anywhere online showing where the switch was, but it did look like the switch was on the top from the pic on the listing, perhaps where the handle is. Unfortunately I was wrong, the switch is on the very center of the fan in the back. Not a good place to put it, as far as I'm concerned. Also, the cord is too short for me. It's a 5' cord, and my outlet is 6' from where I want to put the fan. Leaving it unattended often, I don't like to use extension cords.Further, it would have been helpful to mark the switch clearly. There's no way to see where the switch selection is on 1,2 or 3, because not only is everything is molded in the black plastic, it's down way too low on the back of the fan to see it anyway. The only way to know for sure what speed it's on, is to move the switch from one side to the other and count the clicks and listen for the fan speed. Also, the switch feels cheap when you turn it from lock to lock. Even in a well lighted room It would be difficult to know whether it's on speed 1 or off, because you can't really hear the fan at the lowest speed. I've attached a picture. If you zoom in on the back in the center of the fan, you'll see what I mean.Overall, I'm pleased with the performance though. I don't move it much, and as I said it's very quiet and smooth sounding, and pretty well balanced, and seems stable. At 40 bucks, it was a little spendy for such a cheaply made plastic fan, but so far, it works.
