Apollo Horticulture Purple Reign 10W A19 LED Grow Light Bulb for Plant Growing

I ordered a bunch of bulbs. After trying a few of them, at least ONE DID NOT WORK. I double checked the light fixture to make sure it was not a faulty socket, but it is indeed a bad light bulb. I haven't gone through my entire batch of bulbs yet, but I can tell you for sure that at least ONE (out of only 5 I've tried) does NOT work. I ordered a lot of these, so I'm not sure how to return the bulb, and it would be a lot of hassle trying to find new packaging. I'm basing my 1-star review on the fact that a 20% failure rate is not good.... I'll update this review if anything changes.

Ordered based on reviews and probably would have been happy had I received what was advertised. First one was actually the purple bulb but it pulsed on and off due to a defect in the electronics. Returned that one and re-ordered. Today I received the replacement which turned out to be a green light and not the full spectrum I ordered. So, it's going back tomorrow. This is more than likely a good bulb if you are fortunate enough to get the correct one. But, it seems there is a mix of the correct one and green ones going out to customers. Best bet is to just find another vendor/product.

I used this in my AreoGarden (I have a adapter so it fits), it was LED and a good price I thought great, I didn't care that it was going to be purple. I bought one bulb to try out, left my normal bulb in the other socket, my seedlings told me exactly what they thought of this. They all leaned towards my old light bulb. I left it in for awhile then decided it wasn't doing much good. I will not buy this again sometimes you get what you pay for.

Looked good initially but vey disappointed...stopped working after a 2 weeks of 3 hours per night. It is a shame as the point of incurring an upfront cost is to provide light to plants at minimal cost. The dead bulb costs nothing to operate...Total waste.

I was expecting this light to be purple but it looks like I also got the green one! I am using it for my indoor plants and am still learning about lighting so I hope it's still what I wanted. The bulb itself is nice, came to me quickly, and turns on without any problems so 3 stars for it being a good product even if it isn't what I quite ordered.

I put a lamp with this bulb on a time for a dark corner where I have a couple of plants. I like the looks but it hasn't been in service long enough that I can determine how my plants like it.

Received the wrong color, does nothing at all for my plants. Green bulb instead of the purple. Awesome green color tho.

As others have noted, the light is green not purple. I am not sure how this affects it's abilities as a grow light. Unfortunately, I did not try to use it until after the amazon return period had expired. I will update if my basil responds.
