Ergonomic. A relief for my wretched writer's bump
Very fine, so can't write with force. Must write with care, or else may tear through the page. Suitable for delicate, detailed blueprints, sketches, writing, labwork. Its a relief for my wretched writer's bump.Ergonomic design. Thicker than most pencils, kind of like the diameter of a kid's beginner pencil. You can either press the top button for the lead, or shake the barrel a few times like a whiteout correction pen.I prefer the button on top because the barrel shaking is noisy (not as obnoxious as white out though)My favorite pencil so far.

Absolutely love these pencils!!
Lead will break if you are not careful. Mine does only because I have 0.3 lead. My favorite pencil which I bought over a year ago and still works great. Comfortable grip and easy to write with. I just reorder erasers and lead on amazon as well.

which is one thing I loved about the original silver Dr
Not as heavy as its 0.5 mm predecessor, which is one thing I loved about the original silver Dr. Grip, but the fact that it's of a similar design and takes a 0.3 mm lead makes me love it just the same. The internal knock mechanism still leaves some weight toward the top which makes up for the lack of such things in most other 0.3 mm pencils, except my favorite Graphgear 1000.I sometimes have to write for hours in one sitting, and in computational notebooks for subjects like math, chemistry and physics, and only use 0.3 mm or 0.2 mm pencils when using pencils. Most of these kinds of mechanical pencils (drafting pencils, really) have thin and/or metal grips and I have never been able to train myself to hold a writing tool with anything less than a iron death-grip. So when my hand and fingers start to hurt such that my handwriting begins to become almost unreadable, I switch to this Dr. Grip and it's almost like getting a fresh start - only without actually having to stop whatever I'm doing to rest my hand for a few hours. This not only means time saved, it means I actually perform better overall because I can continue uninterrupted when I'm on a roll and all the necessary concepts are falling into place.

Friend loves it!
Got it for a friend and they loved it! They use it everyday in class and they said it feels great. I use one myself and I love it too, which is why I got her one.

No lead sleave
I really wanted to like this pencil. I really felt like the Dr. Grip line would have more to offer. The reason that I went with this pencil was that it had the most reasonable of mechanisms for a 0.3 lead: a shaker. What I forgot to think about was that it was missing something else that was important: a long lead sleeve. The short stub at the tip of this pencil makes it almost impossible to extrude the right length for. To check the length of the led, you'd essentially have to flip the pencil over which in tern makes the shaker useless since the whole point is that you don't need to bother that much with the pencil and it's just this cycle that keeps on going of having to check the lead to make sure you're not extruding to much that it'll break the lead and shaking enough so that the pencil lead doesn't get used up making it hard to write. Now I understand that some of you who read this will be like "why didn't you just get the 0.5 mm version if you have problems with the lead getting used up and stuff" and the reason for that is because, in a 0.5 mm pencil, you go through lead so much slower on there that a shaker mechanism is as good and useless.I could continue ranting about how the build quality is cheap and how it's simply not even the best shaker pencil but I think you get the point

Super great pencil at an even better price!
squishy and mushy and just right! Everything seems to be in working order AND it's less expensive than on a fancy stationary asian import site. Would buy it next time in a thicker lead.. I write pretty lightly and i'm still finding myself breaking lead!

Great when it doesn't break.
When this pencil is working, it works amazingly. The wide barrel and weight feels perfect when you're drawing or writing. But this is the second time I've replaced the damn thing! I don't know what it is about this pencil, but it's a delicate little flower. Maybe buy like three of them at a time or something, so you're not stuck like I am waiting for a 0.3 pencil to fit all your 0.3 lead. In my area, 0.5 is the smallest it gets!

Love it
Very easy to write. Your hand and fingers don't get tired. I used this for work and home. I bought multiple. 0.3mm is very fine and great to take notes at work.
