I thought this worked very well as an addition to shaving equipment to reduce the chance of a rash. The only problem is that because it is oil, it makes quite a mess. Once you've finished, all your whiskers are stuck to the side of the sink with oil, and it requires soap and water to wash everything away. Because of that, I prefer a non-oil pre-shave lotion, where everything can be rinsed away easily. But it doesn't change that this is a good product which works well.

I have seen this brand around for a long time now but not once did I ever want to buy it until now. The scent isn't strong, in fact, there is barely a smell to it at all which I am not complaining about. The oil isn't too oily and it certainly does not leave a horrible residue in the sink after use and rinse which is fantastic. However, I believe a better brand would be better since when I use this product it doesn't feel like it's doing much. I have not felt this way before when using a pre shave oil.

Smells nice but using oil makes it less slick for shaving especially using a shavette = more cuts . Better used as beard oil …

Slight scent which doesn't last. Smooths blade enough to avoid razor burn. Much more expensive oils are better, but this is good enough so better value. Will buy again.

A thick oil that adheres well to the skin. It should be applied to a dry face. It really helps to protect the skin, but since soap or cream removes all the oil after the first pass, to be effective it is necessary to apply between passes. Nothing serious. I think it is an inevitable fact with all pre-shave oils or creams such as Proraso, American Crew, Viking Revolution, etc. I will try it with the beach tanning oil, which is water resistant, just to see the result. In any case, the scent is neutral to me - neither bad nor good - and since you apply a little at a time, it should last a long time. I will continue using it. I do notice a positive difference.

Dankzij de pre-shave oil van Bluebeards Revenge kan ik probleemloos scheren. Dat lukte mij vroeger alleen onder stromend water. Ik scheer mij met double edge scheermesjes (medium scherpte) en gebruik een verstelbare safety razor.
