Yeast flakes are so subtle in taste how do you rate them? Well, if it's Druids Grove, you rate them highly. I've purchased Braggs for many years and their product was always superior in taste, appearance and quality until I tried Druids. There is a tremendous difference in quality. The flakes won't break down or totally dissolve on hot foods making them perfect as a parmesan replacement or in making vegan parmesan. On typical starchy foods like potatoes and corn where you would add butter, Druids Grove yeast flakes add a pleasant taste without the fat.

This is different. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it was unexpected. The taste of the flakes lended a fermented flavor to anything I added it to. The brands I have bought in the past only tasted nutty/cheesy. Druids' tasted as if an alcohol or a fermentation product/effect was added. I presume this was the addition of the rice powder? So it was still very good when added to cheezes - it just tasted like I had added wine to my cheeze (cheeZe=made of nuts or seeds instead of animal derived milk). Unexpected, but a nice flavor. I'm sorry if that's confusing. I was up in the air for a while if I liked it and what was it that I was tasting. With unlimited resources I would buy this again.

I really wanted to like this nooch because it's organic - didn't happen. Unlike Bragg's and Kal's, there is added salt and rice flour. The flavor is distinctly salty when you try it and, although cheesy, also has a bitter, brewer's yeast after-taste. If you like the style of Bragg's and Kal's, then I really don't think that you'll enjoy this. I cannot return it because it's a food product, but am going back to Kal's. Kal's is not organic, but at least it is non GMO, has great flavor and texture, and no added salt or fillers. Sorry, Druids!

I bought this Nutritional Yeast because it's hard to find in stores around me. However, I found it the other day (different brand) at a store near me for about 1/3rd the price for a larger portion, still organic. Overall, it's no different except I had to pay quite a bit more for this product.While this is a fine product, it's overpriced, so I took off two stars.

For years I didn't think there was another brand of nutritional yeast and that I had to go with Bragg's but despite being purveyors of all that's healthy, they still weren't making their products organic and so the search began. Enter Druids Grove. The consistency is light and flaky and the flavor is amazing. It's not overpowering, not too salty and goes great over rice, buttered toast, avocados. . . everything where you'd benefit from a uptick in flavor and nutrition!

I love nutritional yeast and brewers yeast, in lots of different flavors, but this tastes like extra stinky fermented something or other... so if you like that sort of thing, then you'll love this. I'm sure it's good quality and all that, just not for me.

Arrived on time, easy to use. Doesn't dissolve immediately but works fine. My only complaint is the packaging: although eye-catching it's difficult to open without spilling everything or flipping the lid onto the floor. Finally moved flakes into a user-friendly container. I do like the fact that the original container isn't plastic, so kudos there, but several lost points for form over function.

I usually have a hot cereal such as buckwheat or quinoa for breakfast and adding Druid Grove nutritional yeast has made such a difference! I had been adding dates or vegan cheese, which is good tasting too but not very healthy. So now I have a yummy start to my morning that is also healthy.
