All Natural Tooth Friendly, Strawberry Xylitol Hard Candies

Have to say, I was rather disappointed with these. The taste is okay, if maybe a little bland. But when I took a look at the ingredients, they are:Polyglycitol Syrup, Xylitol, CItric Acid, Natural Flavor and Beetroot Juice.You'll notice the main ingredient is not, in fact, xylitol. It took me some digging to figure out whether or not polyglycitol syrup was even FDA approved and what it was (hint: look instead of the alternate name "hydrogenated starch hydrolysates"). If I wanted maltitol and sorbitol, I would not be buying a candy which is marketed as a xylitol-based candy. I already have stuff sweetened with maltitol/sorbitol. While it's probably still decent for teeth, it's not what I was trying to buy, and I felt rather misled. This is the thing that bothered me the most, to the point where I almost returned these without even trying them.Problem #2 is that these contain, as another reviewer mentioned, citric acid. Not exactly a great thing to have in a product that's marketed as "tooth friendly".Otherwise, meh, they're okay. Rather bland. A little tart, sometimes. They don't seem to be well-mixed before hardening, so the taste varies a lot. Kind of berry-ish, I guess. Nothing to phone home about with these. I'd recommend checking out the XyloBurst berry-flavored xylitol mints instead of wasting your money on these.

I could not see how much xylitol each piece contains and they cut my tongue (not sure if it's just me, some brands of lollipops do this also). Not the most strawberry flavor, but I was eating them for dental benefits, so I was okay with this.

These are a good alternative to sugar. They are pretty good, but not as good as Zollipops, which are more expensive per ounce. I prefer ZolliPops, but I will also purchase these again. I do not rate based upon price, as I new what I was ordering.

I had used this product before and was quite satisfied with it. However this time all the candies had melted(and they were hard candies). and were stuck to each other. I couldn't open the wrapping to take out the candy. It was during the summer but other candies didn't do that. A shame because I liked their taste.I am diabetic with teeth that easily get cavities so the candy seemed like a perfect solution.I didn't send them back because it didn't seem worth it. A disappointment.

Lacking in flavor. Does not taste like strawberries. Not a bad taste, but not a good one either.

The price just jumped up $5.00 since last month!!! I'll be buying something else now.

I like these candies a lot! The taste is lightly sweet and no after taste at all. The texture is like regular candy but hard to bite and break.

It's awesome to eat a hard candy that's actually decent for your teeth!!! And that tastes delicious. Yay! But pet owners be aware! Xylitol is SUPER toxic and potentially lethal to our furry friends. So make sure they are out of reach and contact your vet ASAP if accidentally ingested.
