Brilliant bit of kit. Very easy to install, sturdy and does what it says on the tin. My BP hasn’t tried to climb on it yet, but I’ve no concern if she does. I tested with the heat lamp on for a while and there was no excessive heat

The guard and fittings work well. The only problem, like others have said in reviews is the hole for the cable. My little snake managed to get herself into the cage. Luckily, I reacted quickly, but not before she panicked and got burnt by the heat bulb. If you have a young snake, it needs covering over.

I like this guard, only 2 screws to put in. They can be tricky to get into an installation upside down, hot guard! Good vslue as the ceramic lamp holder is included.The catch could be a bit more secure. I also found it shorter than my Arcadia guard which meant the bottom grille gets very hot with a 150w CHT above it, could burn my snake’s nose if she gets too close!

This is not safe I now had 2 snake killed as they managed to get them self in it thank you so much am so upset and so is my child as we had a hognose he was so lovely came back home and had cooked him self the hole is to big this item need to be taken down
