NO MATTER IF YOU PREFER ONE PARTICULAR SEASON OVER ANOTHER, THE ENTIRE COLLECTION IS WORTH HAVING AS IT IS A FINE EXAMPLE OF QUALITY, NETWORK TELEVISION --- AN ART QUICKLY DYING A SLOW DEATH.

It arrived covered in stickers, with writing on the cover, and the box is literally about to fall apart. Actual disc quality is LESS than GOOD, with seemingly deep scratches on a few of the discs...not too mad about it, given it was only $7, but this should have NEVER been labeled for sale as GOOD..should have been labeled HEAVY USE

This is one of those TV shows for which all the stars aligned.Thank goodness!John Lithgow, Kristen Johnson, French Stewart, and Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Jane Kurtin are hilarious.There are too many other talented actors to list who play amazing roles, both large and small.Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner write each script with genius, imagination, and compassion for humankind.This sitcom is filled with social commentary about human nature done in such an intelligent, and yet, truly quirky way.Any time I need to gain perspective on human behavior, I watch an episode or two.Third Rock from the Sun is like medicine for the soul.

From Season 1 to 6, this is a terrific program. There are no real extras other than interviews with cast members and guests about the characters they portray and some reviews of some of the episodes each season.I would recommend 3rd Rock to anyone who likes farciful humor...... once you get to know the characters (particulary Dick), you really feel like they are the relatives you always enjoy from a distance. John Lithgow must have studied John Cleese and Monty Python before this show was put together. They are like twins separated at birth. Mr. Cleese has a guest spot on the show, and you can see the mutual affection.

Joanie Laurer was a guest on the shone for this particular season. The "Chyna" in her comes out perfectly. Loved the scenes in the weight room to the arm wresting, to the "date" she has with Harry...best scenes ever. I never watched 3rd Rock...but these episodes I did. Jane Curtain is great to see again too! Just never got into the show entirely, but love Jane Curtain and Chyna.

When I first heard of this show I thought it was strange for John Lithgow to play this particular character. Then within seconds of watching those thoughts went away. He is a complete natural. As well as the rest of the cast. This is one of those very few shows where every element worked. The acting is amazing and the writing is fantastic. I surely hated to see it go, but was happy for boxsets so I could watch it whenever I felt the need. 3rd Rock, Rocks!!!!

Bought 2 complete set works very well king very promptly would buy it again if I needed to

While this wasn't the best season of the set it was a lot of fun to watch again after all these years. My rating is strictly for this DVD set though, not the show itself.Disc 2 was scratched up upon arrival and several episodes tried to skip in spots. I'm disappointed to purchase a brand new factory sealed product only to have it already damaged as if I had bought it used. The other 2 discs worked fine but did have a few marks on them.

I loved the first two seasons so much, I had to have the last four. This is a great sit-com that I fondly remember from years ago. Watching this zany show again brought back many laughs and good times.
