Kingston 512GB SSDNow KC400 (SKC400S37/512G) 2.5" SATA Solid State Drive

Upgraded some servers with a RAID setup with a couple of these sets. Should they crash within a couple years, I'll try to come back to update this, but so far they've been good. The "kit" part is nice, too, because you don't necessarily have to use the enclosure for the SSD. I've put my mechanical drive in there and have a useful backup now.

My Apple MacBook Pro hard drive bit the dust, so I bought this as a replacement. I installed it and had my Apple MacBook back and running in about 2 hours. My MacBook has never run so fast! I would highly recommend this if your Mac hard disk fails.

The best SSD on the market these days at a very good price. The cloning was a breeze with Kingston's guidance. Now my old laptop is fast, fast, very fast !I would gladly recommend this to everybody, good investment.

This was used to replace an HDD in a 3 year-old laptop, it fits, runs faster, and is quieter and cooler. The PC boots noticeably quicker and I've had no problems.

Works great. A nice fast cheap SSD. I have boughten a LOT of Kinston SSD's mainly the 64GB versions, which are also fantastic but this 256 version is great as well.

super fast installation and transfer of data from old to new drive. This drive is lightning fast and has reduced access time by at least 50%. Buy it now.

I tested a Kingston KC400 256GB and I was VERY satisfied with its speed and temperature under tests.This KC400 1TB registers the same temperatures (good) but it is MUCH slower than the 256G model. This 1TB model gives a throughput (MB/seg) of 240 write, 250 read (tested with Black Magic Disk Speed Test wih 5GB file). This is the same throughput that gives a Crucial MX500 SSD which has a price 43% of the price than this KC400 has.
