I am incredibly impressed! I'm a professional painter, and I'm tough on brushes, and thought these would just be a cheap set I could abuse for a couple of paintings and then discard. But they've endured everything I've thrown at them! I use them with oils and turpenoid, plus liquin painting medium. They've stayed consistent; no splaying, no hairs coming out into the paint. The points on the finest detail brushes are still as sharp as when I started (that's been three paintings so far, with a fourth in progress). I also liked that the metallic painted handle wasn't affected by the turpenoid that I use as a brush cleaner; a lot of painted handles become sticky when the mineral spirits begin to break down the paint or varnish. Not these. I've cleaned them countless times, wiped then off on paper, and the handles are still intact. I do plan to buy these again when I need to.

The smaller brushes in this set were just fine. The larger ones not so much. Several of them had bristles that stuck out at the base. I ended up trimming them off so as to not get stray lines on my miniatures. At about $2 apiece these aren't priced as premium brushes however I've ordered several brush sets from Amazon that were as good or better quality than these for about half the price. Consequently I can't recommend these particular ones.

Just learning how to paint miniatures, and didn't want to spend a fortune on brushes. These work great, and hold their shape well
