QUALITY ANCHOR FOR CONCRETE SLAB
THESE SEEM TO BE THE SAME GREAT ANCHORS I USED IN THE 1960s. DRILL WITH A 1/4 INCH MASONRY BIT, HAMMER IT IN, AND THE SCREW GRIPS INTO IT WITH NO SLIP AND NO TURNING OF THE ANCH0R. THE ANCHOR DOES NOT PULL OUT EASILY. GREAT PRODUCT. I HAVE A BOX FULL OF OTHER ONES THAT DO NOT WORK.

best masonary/concrete anchors
these really are the best Masonry / concrete anchors, and I've used many different types. I definitely like the little guide for your bit size as well as the screw size that's part of the plastic grid that holds the anchors. In my case I'm usually mounting into brick masonry in a humid environment so I have to use very good anchors. Don't forget you can cut these shorter if necessary (ie if its a light load or need shallow depth). i do wish they made a smaller diameter size as well.

Hold up great
Bought these to hold shutters on my brick home. Previously used the plastic push in anchors but every year I had to replace several due to breakage. I use these on my window well covers and they work great! Since there were already 1/4" holes drilled I just set these in with a hammer and no more broken fasteners. It states #10-12 screws but #8 will work also since the anchors are compressed when used in 1/4" hole. Since a 5/16" bit is too big the only option is to use the 1/4" bit or use caulk or similar in a 5/16" hole to hold them in which I didn't want to do. A 1/4" hole works good but I would suggest using a #8 screw not a #10 which would be much harder to install. Spend the money for stainless steel screws and you'll be set to go for years!

Good quality vinyl anchor for concrete or bricks but expensive
These are Expandet nylon anchors. Because these anchors are pricey I use them only when I drill a hole that a cheaper anchor doesn't grab (spins in place) or when the screw I want to use doesn't fit exactly the cheap anchor. The shape of the anchor prevents it from spinning in the drilled hole. The anchors come in 4 cubes of 25. Each cube is held together with a plastic band which has two holes to simplify finding the correct diameter drill bit and screw (see pictures). These anchors can also easily be cut to the desired length. The red Expandet anchors are marked for a drill hole of 6mm or 15/64" and for screw sizes 7-8-9 (4mm to 4.5mm). These anchors are made in Denmark. I gave the product only 4 stars because of the price.

Used to repair rolling pantry shelf
Worked as described. I needed to put a screw in a dowel sized hole for my pantry rolling shelves. The 5/16 fit but the 1/4 was better and easily went in.

these are the best for 30 years
i used these 30 years ago. when old timers were still using lead anchors. they are still exactly the same as these were 30 years ago. they are stronger then they look. i usually use #6 Sheetrock screws, even though i think they say #8 can be used. . these anchors are strong enough to break them every time at any length, if you aren't careful. with 30 years exp, ill never use anything else unless under extraordinary circumstances. example would be here in Florida... Cement block walls, furring strip or 2/by, then Sheetrock... cant promise mount perfection in cement block that you cant see, so no guarantee.

Better than most
I’ve found this design (with traction from end to end) works much better than the standard cheap designs (with traction circular) that are typically available at local stores, especially in concrete and tile, as the others turn inside the hole, and they typically have a lip that leaves a gap when attempting to mount something flush to the wall. These eliminate those flaws.
