Save yourself the headache and buy something else!
I just received this product today 11/14/17. I’m not one to write many reviews, but I was unimpressed with this product from the moment I opened the packaging.Strike 1. I can’t figure out for the life of me why a product like this would need to be assembled. This is a product that should be completely welded with the exception of the folding mechanism.Strike 2. The fit and finish of the product are poor at best. The welds are of poor quality and only on two sides of each piece of square tube. The bends look like they were made in someone’s garage using a harbor freight pipe bender, and the paint was scratched and the entire thing was covered in runs.Because my vacation starts in two days I decided I would just make the best of it and go ahead and assemble it. It more than likely would hold up at least long enough to make it back......Strike 3. I couldn’t make it past step 3 in the manual because the main support bracket was drilled incorrectly. There are three holes that are supposed to be bolted from top to bottom through the rack to secure the rack, however the holes in the support were drilled on the sides instead.I gave this product one star in part because I can’t give it zero and I figured amazon was good enough to earn the star for it. The return process has already begun and I expect UPS to be here tomorrow to pick it up. Kudos to amazon for having great customer support.

Good value and it works!
Great product at a good price! I see some reviews saying this is cheap and rusting or such. I've only had this for a couple of weeks and it certainly does not look cheap to me. I just drove 1,200+ miles with this on the back of my Sprinter. It rained for all 3 days I drove. The carrier came through fine and I had no issues with it. I had about 180 pounds loaded inside the cover that comes with it. Surprise, the water resistant cover actually kept the contents totally dry - and it was wet out there! Why not 5 starts then? Well, I like what I now have but the assembly was a surprise. This comes in pieces and you had better have a couple of hours to figure out the directions and bolt it together. I'm very handy but the poor directions and faded schematics were a challenge. After assembly I felt I had got this together correctly in spite of the poor directions. So, I'm pretty pleased with the quality and use after trying it out. I think the zipper on the cargo bag looks pretty cheap and will wear out soon. However, everything is working well now so it's all good!

This thing is a huge piece of crap. The picture is shown after driving about 5 miles the first time we ever used it. We have about half the max weight allowed on it. We should've tried it out weeks before our trip but didn't either way I would not purchase this thing, there are better products out there.

China
Update: After installing a u-bolt style hitch tightener, I am much more confident with this product. The tightener did a great job stabilizing the whole setup. My new problem is that back has contacted the road on uneven surfaces. I've purchased a hitch extension to try and gain some ground clearance. If you're at all concerned about clearance, get a basket with some lift built into the hitch tube. If it wasn't such a pain to return, I'd be buying the curt model instead. It's typical China made. Not super heavy duty, not to hard to put together. I can get a similar on at harbor freight for $90. Is the addition of the bag worth $30? Main thing I hate is that there is a ton of play in the hitch. I'm going to buy an anti jiggle device, and hopefully with weight on it, it will be more stable...

Couple of things to note
I bought the package (carrier and bag). The shipment arrived without the bag, which they shipped after some correspondence, but it added time to the delivery. It wasn't that hard to put together, but if you have a normal SUV (not a hitch that is high) you may want to buy a hitch raising accessory. We are in Seattle where there are hills and speed-bumps, and the carrier would occasionally scrape the ground--raising the hitch fixed this. Finally the straps on the bag do not attach to the carrier--so make sure you get some straps to put around it and fasten it to the carrier itself! Good value for money, and once we worked out the kinks it served the purpose we wanted to use it for.

First the CarrierWhen I got it there were already small rust spots, which of course got bigger during our trip. Make me wonder if it was used and returned. Some of the screws and bolts didn't fit and I had to go out and purchase ones that would.Second the Cargo BagIt rained part of the trip so when we stopped for gas we would check to make sure the bag was closed. When we got to our destination, half the stuff was wet! Even the those in the middle were wet!I checked the bag before we loaded it, by the time we unloaded it, there was a 1/2 inch hole in the bottom.Very unhappy with this. But for the price, the carrier was worth it.

Ehhhh
There are welded spots that are loose and not welded down and concerning one particular hole, there was a small blob of hard metal that we had to remove so bolt would fit. Other than that the assembly was pretty easy. When the cargo hitch is in place it wiggles a little in the down position but wiggles a lot when folded up.Not the greatest in the world, but it will work.

Exact Fit
I bought this for my '03 Acura MDX. It fits perfect and rides far enough back that i can still open the rear hatch. I'd recommend getting a drop/rise hitch adapter for a vehicle that rides a bit low. The bag is decent for the price. I use tie-down straps instead if just the buckles.
