Well, folks, I’ve been on this weight loss journey, trying to make responsible choices while still satisfying my sweet tooth. Enter: Walden Farms Caramel Dip. I saw the words “low calorie” and “low fat” and my heart did a little happy dance. I could almost taste that apple-and-caramel combo I’ve been craving. 🍏🍯 The day finally came, and I could barely wait to open the box. The color? Spot on! A+ for caramel looks! But the excitement stopped there. As soon as I tilted the jar, I realized I might’ve been duped. This “dip”—and I use that term VERY loosely—is about as thick as skim milk. 🥛 I thought, “Okay, maybe it’ll taste amazing,” and proceeded to dip my apple slice. Friends, I could not make it to the sink fast enough to spit it out. It tasted like a science experiment gone wrong—an unholy mix of what-the-heck and why-is-this-happening. The saccharine aftertaste lingered like a bad decision at 3am, and caramel? Nowhere to be found. I thought, "Maybe it's just me?" So, I offered some to my adult daughter (without a word of warning). She gave me a look that said, "What did I ever do to deserve this?" She immediately spit it into the sink too. The kicker? I ordered three different flavors. They all look like runny milk, and I’m honestly too scared to open the others. 😬 At this point, I’d rather fork over $4 for the real deal with 180 calories and just plan for it. Or maybe that’s the secret to weight loss with this product—you end up avoiding food altogether after trying it! Save yourself the $18. Your tastebuds and stomach will thank you. 😅

Does the marshmallow dip have a strange sourness to it? Yeah, admittedly, it does. So, why am I giving five stars? Because it serves the purpose that I bought it for. I got it to make a reduced calorie vanilla protein icing. It's vanilla protein powder, Walden Farms marshmallow dip, and powdered allulose/monkfruit sweetener. Once you mix in other ingredients, the sourness goes away. If you try to do the same and still feel that you taste a bit of sourness, a tiny amount of baking soda will do the trick. And I mean tiny, like 1/8th of a teaspoon. I'm glad that products like this exist to help me cut out empty calories and make room for more nutrient-dense foods in my diet while keeping the weight off.

If I could rate this zero stars, that’s exactly what I’d give it. It was a huge disappointment when I opened the box to see that it’s not a dip like it claims- it’s not thick whatsoever. Super watery and has an interesting flavor. Not really like caramel. It has random chunks of who knows what in it and the quality really isn’t worth the $10. Don’t waste your money!

Honestly, if I could give it zero stars I would. I made the mistake of hastily ordering it without reading the reviews first. BIG MISTAKE! It arrived and I was excited. I moved the jar and the "dip" sloshed around freely ...no "thickness" to it at all. It was VERY RUNNY. It also had mystery lumps in it. After daring uo taste it, it had a slight butterscotch taste but also very strongly of fake sugars. I stuck it in the fridge in hopes to salvage the purchase..hoping it'd thicken in the cold and maybe taste better too. Nope. Save your money. I'm just gonna make my own caramel with monk fruit sweetener. I'm sure it'd be better than this.

Love 95% of Walden Farms condiments, sauces, etc. But, these are not great. Tastes very very off and not satisfying

I got the caramel dip + marshmallow dip and in all honesty the caramel dip is NOT caramel its butterscotch and the marshmallow dip tastes like marshmallow but has a sour taste with it. Its not thick at all and is VERY VERY watery. For me I can still eat them with fruits but if you are looking for something like this I suggest buying from a different brand. Is it worth the money? I would say yes but its still not worth going through the taste.

I was really worried after looking at other reviews that mine would end up broken, but fortunately it was delivered with care! It got to me early as well, I appreciate the fast shipping. The flavor issssss uhhhhhhhh not amazing. I don't know if I could even recognize is as a marshmallow off the bat. I first tried it with a vegan pumpkin peanut butter cup, trying to create the fluffernutter vibe, but it was not a strong marshmallow flavor. The good thing is that I think there will be easy ways to go through it and it issss 0 calories so that's good. Idk probably not going to buy it again, but glad I took the chance on it regardless.

I purchased two bottles wanting to dip apples in. It’s too thin for dipping. The flavor is not good as is. But it’s yummy in hot chocolate. I will be ordering more.

Ich liebe Schokolade und weil ich ein wenig abnehmen wollte hab ich versucht eine Low Calorie Alternative zu finden. Da hab ich mir zwei Produkte (Peanutbutter und Chocolate) von Walden Farms bestellt. Beide überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert.

This tastes absolutely nothing like marshmallow. It is also extremely thin and runny, like water. Don't waste your money!

J'ai essayé, je n'ai pas pu le manger, il est parti direct à la poubelle. Le goût ne ressemble en rien à celui du caramel ce qui pourrait être attendu vu que c'est du sans sucre mais pour autant c'est excessivement sucré et l'arrière goût que ça laisse est vraiment désagréable.

I tried this seeing the good reviews but when I tried the brown liquid ( supposedly chocolate spread) it was absolutely disgusting! For some strange reason it also stung the back of my throat.
