No problems at all
If your a plumber cutting tons of pipe a day, this tool is probably not heavy duty enough. However, if your just a DYI'er, who only needs to cut pipe once in a awhile its great IMO. I had zero problems at all with it cutting 1" and 1 1/2" pipe. Cuts were easy, clean and reasonably straight, better than I could have done with a hack saw or reciprocating saw. Also, no shaking of the pipe at all, like a saw would have done, as I had to cut a couple leaky joints out that were in place, I didn't want the whole pipe vibrating like crazy.

Excellent value for the price.
I bought these for a backyard fountain project. I had to cut a lot of 1 1/2” pvc pipe. They worked great! Blade is not as sharp now but still cuts nice…just needs a little more ummpf.

This thing really works
This thing really works. I had another cutter and it took way more strength than I had in my hands to get through sch. 40 pvc pipe. This cutter has a v-shaped blade configuration that pierces the pipe and then cuts easily. I used this cutter with one hand for about 50 cuts with no fatigue. A second blade is included if you need it.

Not Perfect, but Not Bad
Cuts through PVC easily and cleanly. My only complaint is that it doesn't make a 90° cut. It's very slightly angled.

This tool is junk
Don’t waste your money. I’m a HVAC tech and installer. Bought the two inch version. After a few cuts cutting 3/4” -2” PVC the Blade would skew to the right making all the cuts look like bologna to say. It’s one major design flaw is it does not have enough metal to surround the cutting blade and it wants to travel just to the right. Trying to finish one job recently I had to place a small wedge of sheet metal and as the blade came down in the pipe, it limited its wandering path. Going to return this item and I bought a Husky and a power Milwaukee. I’m the last few weeks. I’ve made better cuts using hack-saw and tape as my cut line around the pipe. That method is tied and true but just make a mess and a lot more work.

Great. Tool
Works great, especially in tight areas, so much better than a hacksaw. Arrived quickly.Size:

Nice try
This cutter started out like a stud After 50 cuts of 1 1/2 to 2” pvc and poly pipe the cutters broke a tooth on the ratchet mechanism, was still able to use but 2” was a little harder to cut. However using it I noticed that the blade would not track straight so when I tried to account for the angle it would track the other way so had to use a hack saw to finish the cut to the proper length. With the tracking problem I set it aside and busted used the old faithful hacksaw. After 50 cuts of 1 1/2 to 2” pvc and poly pipe the cutters broke a tooth on the ratchet mechanism, was still able to use but 2” was a little harder to cut. I have not reach out for any help for the manufacture. Remember that this is just my experience. I am not a professional plumber
