Excellent product
I normally install a pickup system in my Martins, but I have a 000 that I didn’t want to do that in. This thing fits right in the soundhole. It sounds really good in my church. It’s a big room, and I pipe it right into the board and mix it via the board. No pre-amp needed. You need to boost the gain a bit to get it to open up, but it sounds great. We also have a loud stage, so the sound hole plug is essential. Again, works great. My guitars don’t feed back and scream at all.

Worked Like a Charm Once Tweaked
Worked like a charm at the gig, great sound through a Fender Mustang 2 on the Studio Preamp setting. Could not make it feed back. Took off a star because it did not exactly fit the sound hole of any of the here acoustic guitars I tried it in. Too small for two of them even without the rubber spacer ring, too big for the third even with the ring. Finally shimmed it out with a cut up business card so it would stay in place.

Works great, sounds great, and is super easy to use!
I was a little nervous purchasing this for my acoustic guitar. All the nerves went away right as I opened it up and used it the first time though! It installed super quick and easy and it was just the thing I needed to amp up my sound to play at church!

Have to loosen strings for install. That's a no-go for me.
This pickup sounds decent. Not great but gets the job done. Kills feedback. Fits Taylor as-is. Fits Martin and others with smaller soundholes by removing a rubber ring around the edge of the device. But the deal-killer for me is that it requires me to loosen at least the two treble strings for installation. If I don't loosen them, I risk breaking a string or scratching the guitar. But if I do loosen them, my tuning stability is shot and I also risk breaking a string upon retightening. The primary use of this was planned to be open mics. Not the end of the world if my guitar goes out of tune or I break a string and just have to sit out. But for reliability / ease-of-use / installation in a busy live environment on my lap, I'm going to give this 3-stars and put it in my "spare parts" bin.

Fishman single coil pickup sounds great,at a great price.
I bought this Fishman neo-buster and was really looking forward to trying it, but I found out that the sound hole on my Seagull Entourage is smaller then average and that the neo buster wouldn't fit. I returned it and decided to try a Fishman single coil pickup. It fit, snugly, and to my surprise it sounds great. The buzz or feedback in the signal was minimal and makes me wonder if the Fishman humbucker would have been the better choice. The Fishman single coil retails at about $42.00 while the humbucker costs about $80.00.

Very happy
Just got it. Set it into my old ‘82 Alvarez guitar. Fit right into the hole. Plugged in and am very happy with the great sound. Was able to install w/o any trouble, slid under strings.

Measure carefully
Pickup was supposed to fit 4" or 3-7/8" soundholes. Actual unit is made for 3-7/8", with a rubber adapter ring for the larger size....My guitar soundhole is exactly 3-7/8", yet this thing would NOT fit, no matter what I did. Without the adapter ring, the pickup was too small, and the adapter ring made it too big. Nothing I did would make it fit.The amp cord is permanently attached to the unit, so the unit must be removed every time you want to use the guitar without plugging it in, unless want a cord dangling all the time. This is quite ill-conceived.... It is also quite thick, making lots of unwanted wear and pull on the strings trying to install. I was truly concerned with popping the E and B strings. Judging from the difficulty even trying to fit this thing. just leave the cord hanging if you are successful.Further, the way the permanent cord comes up and out of the sound hole from the back does not help any trying to fit this thing. You are left trying to fit something into a sound hole that doesn't quite fit, and the cord you cannot remove remains an obstacle and interfering with the fit overall.Cannot say how this thing sounds, I can only tell you to be prepared. It *may* or *may not* fit your sound hole, even if between 3-7/8" and 4".Disappointed. This is exactly what I need, but can not use.
