I’ve never done face painting and for Halloween I wanted to be a snake and green and blue so I bought this stuff thinking I could use some colors on my kids too. Well when I tried it before Halloween I had so much fun with the colors and then started drawing on my face and ended up deciding to be the night sky. I got so many compliments and the makeup lasted all day and night from 2-11pm. The pic is at night after all day wear. It came off easily with soap too. The colors are seriously fun to play with. They make me want to paint people fun colors. So pretty and vibrant and they blend so well. You can layer colors and I had it on my eyelids and I have sensitive eyes and thought it would bug them but it didn’t anymore than normal makeup. I was actually uncomfortable with all the attention I got as I wasn’t wanting to stand out. Strangers asked to take my pic. So I highly recommend this paint. I just had my normal face cream and sunscreen underneath and nothing on top. It was fun being unrecognizable. People thought I’d been airbrushed. I used a variety of paint brush sizes and just painted stars and eye color on. I used a sponge for the base colors. It would be super fun to try stencils I think.

I've always wanted to do body painting. For FanX I went as Elphaba from Wicked and believe it or not, this was my first ever real face paint! I bought this after looking at reviews and I am so glad I did! It's easy to work with, even if you have to layer it a bit. A little goes a long way. It went on fairly smoothly, but I'd make sure you give yourself ample time to let it dry. It was hot all day and I was worried I'd sweat the stuff off on either the train or at the convention, but after setting it with a cheap face powder it didn't budge! I wore this for well over 9 hours, and barely, and I mean barely, had a little crease in my smile line from smiling and talking all day. I have oily/combination skin and didn't have any problems in my t-zone or anything. I had professionals compliment the paint and they were surprised it wasn't airbrushed! I applied it with makeup sponges for the base and did use some eyeshadows to shadow and contour, but if I had more time I would have used paint to do the same thing. And to take it off? I used a few makeup wipes to take off the bulk of it and it came right off. I hopped in the shower after that and boom! No more green. This pallet is super versatile and I'm excited to see what other looks I'll be able to create in the future. Give this pallet a try, it truly is magical. Thank you Mehron!

I cosplay so having a large, high quality palette is a huge plus. I haven’t done a full face paint yet but I’ve used it for some fun makeup looks. The colors are vibrant, easy to apply, stay on all day (with the Mehron setting spray), and come off easily with some makeup wipes and face wash. It’s pretty light weight and does not feel greasy AT ALL. It’s water activated so don’t get too much water in it or it will become watery and won’t stay. I legit forget I’m wearing it at times because of how lightweight and comfortable it is. I’ve used tons of Halloween grease makeups in the past and this blows it out of the water. Of course it’s an investment for the price, but it’s been absolutely worth it for this cosplayer. Plus it comes with 3 white and 3 black tins so you can mix the colors like paint!

I absolutely love this paint set. The quality is unmatched. This is a company I trust with rigorous testing. If you regularly are face painting pay the extra money for a safe quality product.

Purchased this set after seeing a face-painter at a local museum in So. Cal. with the same kit. My kids like to get their faces painted especially when we go to their little birthday parties and theme parks. So once I saw this set being used by a face-painter (who happened to be an art student) at this museum, I asked them about price/quality, etc. The recommended it so I checked it out and purchased on Amazon. This is a very good set of 'real' water-based make-up/face paint. Retail paints at regular stores or craft stores are of cheaper quality and tend to dry out, hard to use or handle, and sometimes don't dry on the skin well. The quality of the paint in this set is very durable such that it simply won't just rub off with a simple wipe, as children will sometimes scratch or wipe their face by accident (with enough force, any paint/make-up will come off) but this product will actually last quite long. Be aware that you need to use above-average brushes and use water to activate the paint. I've painted masks, butterflies, unicorns, snakes, spiders, feathers, etc on my kids faces, arms, etc and they just love their results, as do other kids/parents when they see them. It dries rather quickly and if touch-ups are needed, I can simply use a clean brush and water, and fix the issues. For the price and quality of the kit, it is so much cheaper to do this yourself (if you have the abilities/skillsets), not to mention that it is so much safer in terms of cleanliness. I only use this kit for my children, while at amusement parks or parties, painters may not use the safest techniques in terms of cleanliness. There are enough colors to choose from and my kids love to choose the colors themselves. I also purchased the 8-pastel color kit for more choices and it is a great combination to this kit. The black carry-case is thin and convenient and even looks professional. My kids and I are very happy with the purchase.

After reading many reviews while waiting for my order to show up at the door, i started to freak out. Im so glad that i finally received it. It supposed to arrive as prime but took 2 weeks to get to me instead, so 4 stars it is. Love the palette. Colors are awesome. I dont regret making this purchase.

Fantastic!! My teenage daughter loves it. Excellent pigmentation, doesn't cause breakouts, and doesn't rub off like oil-based colors. It was worth every penny.
