Perfect for kids, high powered, rugged design
It was a nice surprise to find the Thinkpeak binoculars here after starting a search initially in stores and not having any luck finding anything that seemed useful. All I could seem to find suitable for small kids were toys and not what I had in mind. These were the perfect birthday gift for my grandson who often comes hiking with me. We like to watch the wildlife and birds and now we each have our own binoculars and have a great time competing in fun to spot critters. We used to share my binoculars but the full size devices were too heavy for him to use comfortably and the eye pieces too far apart to use for a small person. What we like about these binoculars is they are made specifically for kids to use. They are more powerful than what I had even expected for him so thats a nice bonus. We got the green ones which is his favorite color, the rubber casing and grips make the binoculars easy to grip and add some nice protection just in case we have a drop. The rubber is also comfortable when pressed against his eyes. The packaging came with everything he needs to keep them in good shape, a cleaning cloth for the lenses, a carrying case with strap and a simple to read manual. We're really happy with the binoculars and the small size makes them ideal to keep in the glove box of the car where we can get at them quickly when we need them. I would definitely get them again if we add more friends to our hiking group ;0)

Nice, easy to use, sturdy, and light-weight
I initially planned to order these binoculars for one or both of my granddaughters, but they both said they already had some. We did a stint of birdwatching, virtually, as their parents asked me to help with their teaching while we are all in lock up. I bought myself a good, fairly expensive set of binoculars from Dick' s Sporting Goods last summer and have found them to be essential for the task, but they are also pretty heavy. So when I realized that these were also 8X binocs, I decided to order a pair for myself. Are they as good as my other pair? If course not, but they are ALMOST as ggod, and so much lighter! Easy to use, easy to adjust, and I can see the birds in my yard or neighborhood quite well with these. I plan to take the with me when I go for walks with my dog at the Open Space by the river. I tried using a spotting scope i have - it's also very light, but it's so much harder to find anything using just one eye / scope. These little binoculars from Thinkpeak are just fine, so light, and very sturdy. They came with a lens cleaning cloth and a nice adjustable, easy to attach strap.

Great for the niece, but maybe not high quality
Bought these as a present for my niece on her 3rd. She may be a bit young to quite figure them out, but I'm hoping they help her keep an interest in STEM and be something she can grow in to. I will say, that on trying to get them focused for the trees where birds sit in her back yard, I could only get one tube at a time to fully focus, so something seemed to be slightly out of true and there wasn't individual control to try and sort it out. Almost certainly won't bother her before she's old enough to want something better, but it would have been great if they were true.

Well constructed with good optics. Won't break easily.
I got these binoculars for my nephew and I think he will love these. They are serious binoculars and not just a toy. They seem to be well constructed with reasonably good optics for the price. I don't think they will break easily. They are intended for small people (less than 14 years old) as the maximum distance between the eyes is small, but this also makes them much lighter than regular adult binoculars. (I have a large head and I can just barely see through both eye pieces at the widest setting.) These will be really good for getting the boy outside, looking at and learning about the world. The only issue I have with these binoculars is that the rubber eye-cups surrounding the eye-pieces are a little difficult to fold over to allow better viewing for children who wear eyeglasses. They do fold over to allow glasses closer to the eye-piece lenses, but they don't easily remain folded. So for children who wear glasses, one might have to fold the eye-cups several times before they remain folded. However, I doubt young children will notice this much. These are a good choice for most kids, especially for this price.

Well built, but it is a toy
It is a toy so don’t expect good performance from it.

A Lot Smaller than Expected
Okay, one day later, June 20.Nine-year-old child was very happy to receive the binoculars. They didn’t appear too small for her and she enjoyed checking out the neighbors' yards. I’ll say success on this one.The case is actually quite nice and the strap was easy enough to attach, but by an adult, not the kid.****************I purchased these as a gift for a nine-year-old Girl and just received them. They appear sturdy enough and I know the color will be a hit. But, really, they’re very small and the view seems quite narrow. But since I have no time to get something else, I will wrap and give and hope she finds them fun and useful. Either way, I plan to check back here and update my review.Today is June 19, 2020
