I have combination skin — oily in the T-zone and dry on the cheeks — and finding a toner that works for my skin has been a challenge. The Round Lab Dokdo Toner completely exceeded my expectations! It’s lightweight and absorbs immediately, leaving no greasy or sticky feeling. It hydrates my dry areas while helping to control excess oil throughout the day. My skin feels refreshed, calm, and well-balanced after every use. I am a teenager and this product did not break me out at all. After a couple of weeks, I noticed my skin texture improving and less redness. It doesn’t clog pores or irritate sensitive spots, and I like that it’s fragrance-free and full of soothing ingredients. If you have combination skin and are looking for a toner that actually works without overwhelming your skin, THIS IS 100% WORTH TRYING. Will definitely repurchase! Plus, the size is great value for the money!

Literally the best toner I’ve ever used. It’s affordable, moisturizing and does what it claims to do. If you’re looking for a fragrance free toner that’s moisturizing I highly recommend this one!

I have made a new skin care routine and needed a new toner. It’s important to have a toner that is gentle and absorbs fast. The Round Lab Dokdo Toner absorbs so fast and felt very nice on my skin. With my new routine, my serums, moisturizer and SPF sunscreen absorbed seamlessly. It has been a couple of hours and my T-zone is STILL not as greasy as a diner’s griddle! I could cry! I don’t even see the usual amount of sebaceous filaments on my nose! This will be great for when I do my makeup!

Despite some negative reviews, it is a good toner that works well with the moisturizer of the same line and does not cause irritation.

I love Round Lab products. I got this item in a Korean Skincare Box (BAZZAAL Box) and loved it so much I bought it when I ran out and one for my boyfriend's house. I have sensitive, combination skin (dry cheeks, oily yet flakey t-zone) with the occasional hormonal acne freak out (yay PCOS) and my skin loves this. It immediately calms down the redness in my cheeks and acne breakouts, while still somehow hydrating. It doesn't burn or irritate my skin and sinks in with no oily or heavy residue. Since it is a gentle exfoliant, I sometimes need stronger exfoliating and/or acne treatments, and so far it's been safe to layer with a bit stronger AHA, BHA, and Centella products (tried with COSRX AHA/BHA Toner, COSRX Niacinamide 2% + BHA 4% Toner, Beauty of Joseon, Centella Blemish creams, and Benzoyl Peroxide 10% cream) and I haven't noticed any weird reactions. I have not tried it layered with a strong Glycolic Acid, Differin, or a Retinol and probably won't. This paired lovely with the ANUA 100 Serum (also another favorite).

I have acne prone, sensitive, combo skin with type 2 (pustular) rosacea. I stupidly tried a toner and mask without checking the ingredients and had a major rosacea flare up.. niacinamide destroys my skin. So fun! I came across this toner and loved the ingredients so I decided to see if it would help calm my flare up. I use really gentle niacinimide free products and prescription azelaic acid, but usually it takes more than a couple days to calm my rosacea after it’s triggered. I’ve been using this toner night and day and I am not exaggerating when I say it calmed it overnight. I was honestly shocked. I’ve only been using it for a week, so I can’t comment on long term use yet.. but omg how?!? My skin reacts SO often so it blows my mind to find something that doesn’t cause acne, irritate my skin, or cause a rosacea flare up. I just wish I took a before and after photo!

TLDR: Better Ingredients, Better Results, RoundLab! The whole reason I got this toner was because of my dry, flaky, peeling skin that was the result of using retinol/tretinoin to treat my acne. I was looking for a hydrating toner that was safe for clogged prone/acne prone skin that was Korean based since every Korean product I've tried has been a million times better than anything I bought from here in my personal opinion. I have been so pleasantly surprised by this toner! At first it looks like it may be watery but it has a thicker texture than water. I started using liquid atomizer/misters that produce fine mist for my toners so that I don't waste any product- especially really good ones like this! This is my first "empties" toner aka the first newer toner that I've used all of and loved. I use an ingredient/product checker for any potential products I want to try, and the ingredients are mild yet effective and I'm able to still use it with my tretinoin or other actives without any noticeable negative effects/interactions at all. It has protease ( an enzyme) which some studies suggest is a good alternative for AHAs (chemical exfoliant) that helps reduce redness and irritation. It also may have some anti-aging benefits. The second and third ingredients, respectively, are butylene glycol and glycerin, two important humectants that help your skin retain moisture. It also contains Betaine, Panthenol, and Allantoin that all help with dry skin, reducing irritation, and scar healing.

I bought this toner after trying Round Lab’s lotion and face moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin and it’s not easy to find products that don’t irritate my skin or cause a rash. Since my skin did well with the lotion and moisturizer, I tried the toner. And YES! My skin approves! The toner is very clean feeling and does not give any tingling or stinging sensation. It is very gentle and cleans my skin well. I will definitely buy again.
