The drain system for these Bosch dishwashers has both pros and cons. A pro is that the mechanical filters are very efficient and keep food particles, labels, and other stuff out of the works. The con is that if you wait too long to clean the fine mesh filter, it gets clogged with grease and pasty residue, the water backs up, the washer stops with an error code, and you have a mess. So, buy a spare filter assembly like this one. Change them out every two months BEFORE the mess and wash the spare filter in the top rack for use next time. The swap is easy to do. This filter is just like my original and the cost is well work the savings in time and effort.

Easy to install. Needed a fresh filter even after cleaning the previous one. Hoping it will help with the smell in my dish washer even after a cleaning cycle.

Went to clean my dishwasher filter for the first time in years and the calcium was caked on and I couldn't scrub it off. Quickly found this inexpensive replacement and just popped right in. Easy to install.

Got it in and worked. It was a little more dented in the metal filter portion out of the box than I would have preferred. I don't think it broke or affected anything, and was able to push most of it back to correct shape.I tried placing whole filter in (I had blue arrows and this had grey arrows). I then realized that the turn/lock was reversed even though I submitted my model for verification. However, my old filter housing was just fine and only needed new filter.So in the end, keep old housing, but place this filter in it.

Remember the old days when finding a part for an appliance meant finding the instruction manual (assuming you saved it!), then finding a number to call to order a replacement (and hope it's still available)? Remember when you held your breath when the customer service rep told you the price, THEN the price of shipping on top of that?Say what you will about Amazon and its market monopoly but boy, it sure is nice to be able to forego that old hassle and instead find a part like this easily then having it shipped quickly with Prime!Sure it would be ideal if parts like this never needed replacing but given that they do, Bosch and Amazon have made it reasonably affordable and painless.

I had been getting an error code on my dishwasher and needed to clean it out several times. This has fixed the problem. Thanks.
