Works Wonders! Definitely Worth a Try!
I have a border collie lab mix who was never socialized as a puppy before I rescued her. She is terrified of everything and super anxious. After about a year of training with not a lot of improvement I started to seek out some anti-anxiety medication to help her out. We went to the vet and got a prescription for Clomicalm but they also recommended trying this out! Since using the Zylkene my dog has been so much better! We never ended up filling our prescription for the Clomicalm. It's not a miracle drug or a quick fix. It doesn't stop her from barking at strangers or other dogs, but it has curbed a lot of her anxious behaviors like whining, chewing up things, and more! Overall she seems so much happier when she is on this and she is a lot more successful at her training! I recently stopped using it thinking that it wasn't making any major improvements but I was wrong. Once I stopped using it the anxiety came back! I can't recommend this product enough! I wish I had known about this sooner! For dosage we give 4 of the 225 capsules or 2 of the 450 (depending which was cheaper at the time to buy). That's above the recommended dosage on the bottle as our lab mix is only about 45 pounds, but our vet said this amount was ok and it seems to be the amount she needs.

Not a total cure, but defiantly part of the stress relief plan
Some people may not find this to work, but for us, our 5 yr old puggle who has issues with fireworks and storms it helps a lot.It definitely works better then the doggie meds from the vet that just make it worse. We use this product along with the Thunder Shirt and we can really see a difference, of course its not going to make your pets issues just go away, its a very light sedative that for our dog takes the (edge off), when we think Buster needs it, like 4th of July, New years eve and approaching storms, we simply give him the recommend dose, and within about 20 min he started to feel a little better and within an hr he's able to go to his (safe place) and sleep. When dealing with dogs with issues, you really need to give them a SAFE place, somewhere they can go if they want and deal with they're stress. sometimes its on your lap and sometimes its in a bathroom or cage, but give them an option along with the Zylkene. Also, we play music at higher volumes for him, classical music is great. All in all, if your pet has stress issues, nothing is going to (fix) the issue easy. But there are things you can do to help and for us it the following:ZylkeneThunder ShirtSafe PlaceClassical music at levels not too loud but loud enough to blend in with fireworks or thunder.UPDATE~~We do use this but also some stronger prescription meds from our vet for when something stronger is needed, we happy to see a new FDA approved drug just released SILEO, so if your needing something stronger check into this.

Noticeable "Edge" Off of a Neurotic Border Collie
This is not a sedative, so it's not going to make your dog sleep nor have a huge startling effect on behavior. I've been using for almost a month and I notice a slightly mellower dog. I purchased looking for something that would help during summer thunderstorms, as the dog in question has an extreme case of storm phobia. If the storm stays in the far distance, she doesn't seem to react as much. If it's right on top of us, she's still pretty freaked out, so this certainly isn't a silver bullet. Still, she seems a little less worried/anxious in general.Four stars because the cost is so high for what, to me, is only a slight improvement. I'm not sure I'll use it after the summer due to cost, and I know many of my friends want to try it but simply can't afford it as a maintenance drug for their pet. Here's hoping the manufacturers drop the price to make it more accessible (I suspect they'd sell a lot more).

Great but expensive and order way in advance
This product is excellent and I’ve tried cheaper versions and other natural versions but this one is the best. I do believe it is way too expensive though. If I could find a less expensive seller I would but it appears this is the only one that sells this. And almost every time I order this product it gets lost in shipping and is extremely delayed. I don’t believe it’s the fault of the seller. So order early and ahead of needing your next supply because it’s delayed up to a week and sometimes completely lost and I have to reorder.

These worked better than Xanax for my dog! And it’s not habit forming!
I have a Boston Terrier mix and she is the most energetic dog I’ve ever known. I’m sure she has anxiety issues too, so I’ve been searching for calming products whether it be chews, pills or capsules…I had some slight success with calming chews, but they seemed to wear off and stopped being effective after a few days. Then my vet recommended Zylkene and WOW…she actually sleeps through the night now. I buy these with those “Pill Pockets” and she eats them every time no problem. Love these! They’re the best best thing to Xanax for dogs!

Did absolutely nothing.
I was very hopeful these would bring a teeny bit of calm to my three dogs. Not even the slightest bit of relief. No change whatsoever. This product is way too expensive for zero results. Might as well be voodoo.

Vet recommended for my nervous dog
Vet recommended for my nervous dog. She's been taking Prozac, but I wanted to get her off of it. It wasn't completely effective, and she was losing weight because she didn't eat as much. So I tried this, with mixed results. No more effective than Prozac, but no side effects to note. I give pills in peanut butter, and she takes willingly. I was also able to sprinkle on her food, and she still ate it.I've moved on to L-theanine, 100 mg, human grade. My dog became more fun-loving within a day or two, with no noticeable side effects. She eats it willingly when sprinkled on food. And it's less expensive than the Zylkene.Ask your vet. (S)he may not be immediately familiar with either Zylkene or L-theanine. But have them check it out. I especially like that there are no restrictions or concerns noted for either product.
