Flowering-Size Orchid: Neofinetia Falcata 'Amami Island' (White Snow), (30 Days Healthy Plant Guarantee)

Wow, I got a nice big plant (2 nice full fans), I was not expecting the size and literally gasped when I pulled it out of the box. It made me wish I was one of those special people who like to film themselves unboxing their mail. Oh well.The moss smelled a bit... I dunno... mildew-y or something so I repotted it immediately. There was the usual amount of clean up (trim/peroxide) needed to the root system, but there are plenty of nice fat roots there to help it get situated in it's new home. There's a damaged leaf, but considering there's 2 whole fans full of leaves, I'm not complaining. While I wouldn't say this an immediately gift-able plant, I am very pleased for the price. Thrilled in fact. Honestly, I don't mind a bit of cosmetic wear and tear. I know I can get it looking good, and if I can't because the plant arrived damaged, the seller will send me a new one (I am a repeat customer because of this). Thanks.

Second update: replacement is healthy and thriving after a year. Same w “Hisui”, after a year it was transferred into a small pot w mostly moss which it seemed to prefer as it’s putting out 2 new growths right away.Update: Responsive and attentive customer service with healthy replacement on the way.Surprised and disappointed to find infected and rotting orchid upon opening the package. Had 3 leaves with only one that appears viable. Removing the moss proved the seedling was in much worse shape; roots were missing, the remaining ones were broken and didn’t look healthy. There is no reason for a vendor to even ship this out to a client. This could easily spread the infection our plants. Quality control is really lacking. Also the epithet “white snow” will likely cause confusion as that variety (Shirayuki 白雪) already exists which has mottled variegation of the leaves.

Leave are about 1 1/2 inch height, 1/8 width .

This orchid came with a multiple plant order. I have been misting it daily, I order cork bark for a mount it arrived this week. When I removed the plant from the temporary mount it was shipped in, I was shocked to find it had just two roots. Very disappointed about this, the other miniature orchids all had 5 or 6 roots, so there is a high probability that they would be able to establish themselves ( except for the one that looks like it might have rot). Really who ships an orchid with two roots!

Plant came in great condition. Leaves are plump, roots look really good, mount was wrapped in a damp paper towel. Seller shipped the next morning after I ordered, so it arrived far earlier than expected! Thank you! Will be ordering more in the spring!

These are going to grow into a magnificent mini orchid with the right care. Purchased two and another on the way. Have also purchased about 7 other orchid types from this seller here/Etsy and are great with handling any problems you might have. 10/10 and will be buying more lol

VERY small plant, just a few leaves and literally just 1 viable root about 3/4 inch long. The odds of this plant surviving is almost nil. Not recommended.

It is as described and arrived in excellant condition. It is very small and likes moisture. I set it in a small container that allows the wood to soak up water to keep it from drying out too quickly. The pic was taken 18 days after I received it. It is setting in a north facing window. I use filtered water.
