When you reader wants to know more than just the basics of an airplane
My 9 yo was interested in learning more about how planes are built after a visit to a vintage airplane museum. She had a chance to see some planes in various stages of being rebuilt. This book offers more than just basic parts and not as overwhelming as full cross sections. A good next step for those interested in how planes fly and the parts of a plane.

Son loves
My 6 year old loves this book and the characters and the overall story line. He loves seeing the different parts of a plane in all the detail. I'm not that much of a fan, but since he likes it so much, I give it four stars!

Awesome book; a kid-friendly kit would be a good companion project!
I love the book! The one thing that would make it better is if there were a kit you could buy to go with it to really cement your new building knowledge!

A book for a Pilot's Grandchildren
It is a cool story about friends working together and all the stuff that makes airplanes fly. I love airplanes and someday I hope my grandchildren do too. I bought the book for a couple of them for a story book but also something about ailerons, elevators and rudders.
