It's more of a soap opera than a movie at this point. We got tons of cameos and follow up scenes from much deeper movies that all arrive in this movie like a leftover bottle of champagne found by the kids after all the parents went to sleep it off.Try to not compare it to its predecessors and enjoy each scene for what it brings.Seeing Dwayne Johnson's performance was glitter on cheesecake. You can't look away but also afraid to take a bite. Never thought I'd see Uma and John T. together again yet they're like two peas in a pod floating down the rapids of age laughing as they go. It's not a movie that will blow your socks off and yet I'm glad they made it b/c I imagine how much fun they had making it and it shows the way their characters play off each other. Their wardrobe(s), their cars (and Johns again), and even the over generalizations that might be cliche in some movies work well in this one.I'm only giving it 4 stars b/c imo they ruined the f-word scene up.... imo Johns line should've just said it and omitted the politely edited part b/c his character (Chili Palmer) doesn't pull punches or enjoy small talk. Overall it's a nice addition, a good movie that probably cost more money than it made and hopefully is a stepping stone for the unsung heroes and those who aren't stars yet and are on their way.

Travolta, Thurman, Cedric, Keitel, and so many others made this film except for one. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for Vince Vaughn. What miscast- he really drug this down.Travolta is a great Chili Palmer- he made the part.

This was such a fun movie, jam packed with all kinds of entertainers. Actors, comedians, singers etc. Don't pay attention to the nay sayers and negativity. You'll enjoy it! And a chance to hear and see Aerosmith.

Does no one get that this move is pure satire? The filmakers and all the "gang" are making pretty good fun of everyone, every type in the movie and music business and it is very funny. This is an indictment of both the movie industry and the music biz. Satire writ large and in flaming neon letters,towering billboard sized and in your face!If you are a movie lover and you don't like anything else about this film, you must see it for the performances of Andre Benjamin,Vince Vaughn, and Cederic the Entertainer. My husband thinks I am easily amused but if these performances don't crack you up you are no lover of the ridiculous, of the inventive slapstick tradition of the entertainment world. For example The Rock singing Loreatta Lynn's big hit, You're Not Woman Enough to Take My Man; Vince Vaughn's "twinkle, twinkle" speech by itself is worth buying this movie for; BE COOL should have made Andre Benjamin a BIG star--I fell totally in love with him and wanted to see more of him. Cedrik the Entertainer's speech to the Russian gangster in the office of Carr-o-sell records is totally worth the price of admission as is the scene of Cedric beating a DJ with a pancake turner because the DJ won't play the record he is promoting.As always Travolta, Thurman and Kietel are great--they are wonderful to watch, as are cameos by Danny DeVito and Robert Pastorelli. Yes, the plot is a bit out there, but who cares? This film is fun, it's shot in LA, it's an insiders movie with lots of insider movie and music jokes, and a music cameos by the Black-Eyed Peas and Sergio Mendez,AND Steven Tyler and Aerosmith--good grief, by the DVD!! Get a bunch of people together who appreciate wit (albeit the tongue in cheek variety),love movies and music and you will laugh!!

I'd never seen Get Shorty before, and this movie was the sequel, so I rented Get Shorty - liked it a lot! - then watched this one and it's a very pale imitation of the first movie with some very irritating additions. Vince Vaughan has a running gag where he's supposed to be a white guy trying to be hip to da 'hood, and yeah, I get the gag but it would've worked better if he was a bit more over the top AND if they gave him a LOT fewer lines - he seemed to just go on forever and I wanted to fast-forward through his irritating monologues. The singer girl that everybody was gushing over - c'mon, that was so Disney Channel. I liked the other "characters" in the movie, which was what made the first movie enjoyable, and I'd probably watch this again since I liked the first movie, but without that, this would be very forgettable.

Get Shorty/Be Cool is a great pair of movies I still enjoy. Had on dvd, the Blu-ray is a great improvement.

Car oui, ce film est la suite du déjà très bon Get Shortydeux films qui ont pour eux ce côté cool, que dégage naturellement TravoltaUn film den plus très drôle en grande partie grâce à une prestation étonnante de The Rock, peu habitué à ce genre de rôle.Un film peu connu, mais à voir en sachant que tout ceci ne se prend pas au sérieux

La segunda parte de Como Conquistar Hollywood, repite reparto y aunque las segundas partes nunca fueron buenas, esta muy bien.
