Looking good so far!
It's only been a couple weeks since we got it, but it's already growing and looking very healthy with new leaves coming out.

I Love It.
I bought this in late fall and planted it in the ground in humus-rich soil. As advertised, it blooms in the first year after you plant it. Mine bloomed in late winter through late spring in SE Virginia, zone 8. The blooms are fragrant and lighter in color than advertised because this rose doesn't reach its darkest color until its aged a few years. Heirloom Roses website also states this. Despite the brighter magenta color in this first year, the rose is still pretty and a fast grower even without fertilization in its first year before its bloom time. I give my plants 1 growing season to adjust to their new soil unless it shows signs of deficiency. I'm about to fertilize in a day or 2 with the recommended liquid fertilizer and it's already mid-June.

Breathtaking Blooms in 30 Days!
I live in New York City, and specifically in my neighborhood (Astoria), roses are a big "to-do"; once June rolls around every year, the gardens light up with these beautiful blooms and it seems like every conversation you overhear is all about the beautiful variety of surrounding roses. My fiance and I just moved to this neighborhood to the only house without a rose in the garden, of course. Although it was a little late in the year to get a plant in the ground in time for rose season, we took a chance and ordered the Heirloom Roses Ebb Tide live rose plant, wanting desperately to be in the "club". It arrived on June 8th in lovely condition, nice, strong roots and a hearty stem with many leaves, probably 12" not including the roots. We planted it in the ground immediately and kept it watered per the instructions; exactly 30 days later, to our great surprise, this wondrous plant burst forth two gorgeous blooms with several more close behind! The color is not deep purple as pictured in the listing, but the piercing fuchsia color is so breath-taking that we honestly couldn't be happier. Purple? What purple?! We understand that these blooms are brand new, so they may deepen in color as the plant matures, but for now, wow. They are the talk of the neighborhood, have a completely unique color, and they rival anyone else's blooms as far as sweet-smelling and strong fragrance, with only two blooms. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Really astonishing experience with Heirloom Roses from start to finish.

Make sure to specify your ‘frost free date' and be vigilant about problems!
I bought five different varieties of these very expensive roses and every single plant rapidly died, mostly from Blackspot. I just now discovered the last living rose has a heavy thrip infestation that seemingly popped up overnight. None of my other plants have any disease or pest problems. I sprayed the thrips with Neem and am keeping my fingers crossed. I have grown roses and other plants for many years and have rarely had problems with diseases or pests. If I do I use organic methods, such as Neem oil and insecticidal soap.. I did get a refund for one rose (Ebb Tide), but the seller wasn’t very friendly about it. They made me feel like I was a bumbling yokel gardening for the first time in my life. They offer a guarantee but the conditions you have to meet make it too intimidating to claim. They found fault with me for not being able to plant the roses outside right away, but In their guarantee it says roses that can’t be planted right away can be held for up to six weeks. They shipped the roses over six weeks from our frost free date. The ground wasn’t workable yet and we were still getting snow and ice storms. I received one refund for Ebb Tide. Apparently something is very wrong with one specific rose I bought because it was withdrawn from sale until it was ‘up to their standards’. I will never buy from Heirloom Roses again no matter how lovely their roses look on the website.

How quickly it came, and that it was healthy.
This came very quickly. I planted it the day after receiving it. It started sprouting very quickly. I waited for it to bloom before I left a review. It’s a little bit lighter than the picture shows but it’s pretty close. It looks very healthy. I’m sure I’m gonna enjoy it for many years. I would buy from the seller again. All in all I’m very happy with my purchase and very happy of how healthy it is..

Beautiful rose bush
Arrived quickly and planted as soon as possible. The rose bush all ready has 3 buds! I would definitely buy again. It appears to be more pink than purple unless it changes with time.
