Fantastic and made in the U.S.A.!!! Nothing else to say. They are well made and dependable. Will not leave you "in the dark". I love Ray-O-Vac batteries. Help keep our fellow citizens employed- but U.S.A. made batteries instead of the cheap foreign crap!

I purchased this on May 8, 2014 to use with my Coleman lantern. As you can see it has been about 4 years and it still works. I usually use the Coleman CPX 6 Rechargeable Power Cartridge but I bought these Rayovac D batteries as backup. Thank goodness I did because we recently had a windstorm and the rechargeable cartridge died. I was worried these Rayovac D batts died as well since it has been quite some years. Although it has a 10 year power guarantee shelf life, we just never know! I do not use the lantern for anything else other than during power outage. Last week was the first time I used the batteries. Otherwise, it pretty much just remain on the shelf. I'm just glad it worked when I needed it.------------------------UPDATE April 26, 2020It's time for another update. It is now April 2020 and the batteries are still working! No corrosion or leaks either. It is 6 years now since I purchased the batteries. I have about another 4 years left, which is 2024. Is it too soon to give it 5 stars or should I wait even longer?—————UPDATE Jan 11, 2023Someone just thumbs up my review and it notified me. Made me realize I haven’t updated my review in a long time. As you can see it’s now 2023 and I can confirm that the batteries are still working!! No corrosion/leaks. One more year left on the shelf life (Nov 2024). To make a note I bought the batteries long before Covid-19 pandemic/inflation hit us so the batteries people buy after me I can’t confidently say the quality would be the same. Hopefully it did not affect Rayovac’s brand.

Great product and great price

I stopped buying these batteries because I found a battery charger than charges STANDARD batteries! It's true and it works, here it is: Digital Treasures ChargeIt Battery Station Pro Battery Charger (DRDT-08769) This charger has saved me a ton of money and it's only been a month (I have 2 toddlers and tons of toys). The batteries are great but GET THE CHARGER, it works! Wish I knew about it sooner.Original review:I buy these regularly on Amazon for use in a doorbell, a baby rocker, various toys and crib mobiles. I have purchased about 8 packages so far, and I have not had a single leaking battery. Battery life is good. These will last about 2 months in the baby rocker and a few weeks in the crib mobiles (which are used every night and at nap time, too, so OFTEN). Much cheaper on Amazon than in stores, so for the price you really can't go wrong.

We have really high unemployment right now, and for the foreseeable future --I needed batteries for the Gopher "Sonic Spikes", so I looked for batteries made in the U.S. of A. -- and to my surprise, I found that:Phillips batteries are made in China.Energizers are made in Japan.CVS (store brand-CVS Pharmacies) are made in China.Duracell and RAY-O-VAC are made in the USA.I remembered that my Daddy had a RAY-O-VAC Flashlight he swore by, and I've had excellent results with RAY-O-VAC products in the past, so I opted for the made-in-the-USA RAY-O-VACs.They arrived undamaged in their handy 12-pack cases, and I checked each battery for proper voltage.Voltages over 24 batteries varied from 1.628 to 1.631 -- excellent consistency, which indicates a well-made, reliable product.Amazon's low price and free delivery was cheaper and easier than driving 1.2 miles to the Wallymart.Thanks, Amazon, and thank you, RAY-O-VAC, for keeping America strong by hiring American workers !!UPDATE: February 23,2012: Those batteries have been in service every day for several months, and are still going strong. They were exposed to outside temperatures from 30 degrees F to 117 degrees F without a single battery going dead. They've proven to be "the good stuff" -- made right here in the US of A !!UPDATE #2: November 15,2012: Finally replaced the batteries in the Gopher Spikes -- They ran 24/7 for 17 months -- and STILL had about 1 volt left in each battery.I also used these batteries in a MAG-LITE 3-Cell Flashlight with an LED Bulb -- AWESOME power and a bright-white beam that really penetrates the darkness !! Highly Recommended !!

I was in line at S/n/F Thursday afternoon needing some D size for an automatic trash can. I looked down and saw 2 packs for $6.50 ea. and I need 4 batteries. When I got home I found this 12 pack for $13 on Amazon and immediately ordered them and had them on Saturday morning at my door with Amazon Prime. Such a deal.I have been using the first 4 batteries in my automatic trash can for 6 months now. I bought and returned some duracells because they didn't have enough power to open the trash can lid for even 1 day. Rayovacs are just superior batteries because they don't waste millions of dollars on advertising like the other two. Rayovacs are just better. I have been using Rayovac AA and AAA rechargeable batteries all over my house for years. Many of them are over 5 years old and never had a failure.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BATTERIES AND ALL RAYOVAC PRODUCTS. THEY ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO THE TWO OVERPRICED NAMED BRAND COMPETITORS.
