Delivers a great VR experience for a worthwhile price
We've had this VR headset for a few weeks now and our 8-year-old loves it. There are a number of apps that work with the Cardboard VR specs, and the 3D-effect is impressive. The headset itself is, well, cardboard, but it doesn't feel flimsy. I don't think it would survive a swift kick into a wall or being stepped on, but a tumble down the stairs would likely see little or no damage inflicted. The instructions were easy to follow. This does require a smart phone capable of downloading the Google Cardboard app or other compatible apps. The phone is inserted into the viewer in landscape mode and seemed to be fine with both my Google Pixel XL with a case and my husband's iPhone 7 Plus with a case on it. A larger phone might require removing any external protective case. One of the adhesive Velcro strips did come off at one point but was quickly reattached. This is definitely for casual short bursts of use. Unless you have a long charging cable you will start churning through your battery life if you use this for an extended period of time. The viewer doesn't come with any sort of straps to secure it onto your head (our only real beef with it), so you have to manually hold it up to your eyes the whole time. Even though the headset is designed for a kid's head size and eye-spacing, we were still able to enjoy the product as adults. It is an entry-level product with no bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. Overall, we are quite happy with the product for the price we paid. Definitely worth the investment for the unique experience it provides.

Seems nice, but haven't used yet...but...
There's a couple things that don't fit just as they should on this gadget, and, there were NO nose protector strips included, and the instructions says there is. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but our grandson had an astronomy class in the local state U, and it worked just great in there, and I expect this one will too, once I figure it out.

Lenses not as clear as I hoped.
This is the third inexpensive cardboard viewer I had a chance to try. I rate it in the middle of the three. I like the little box format the cardboard comes in. The part of the viewer that stands out folds nicely back and then the viewer folds into a protective box for travel etc. So the lenses are protected. However, viewing through the lenses is not as clear as I hoped. Definitely better than the Kollea Google Cardboard, but the similar priced (in Google Store) Google Tech C1 are definitely still clearer and make the VR experience much more fun. And the Tech C1 also fold very nicely and even smaller. But it is plastic, not cardboard. I wanted a 'real cardboard' but decided to send this one back.

Summer fun for your kids!
My son was excited to see that he got a package in the mail today, with a skeptical look I got a "what is this and what does it do?" So we opened the email, put on the nose piece, removed the plastic on the glass, folded it, downloaded some apps that were suggested in the email, Inserted my phone into the slot ( I have an iPhone 7 plus ) and all I heard was " mom this is so cool, I'm an astronaut" "Mom did you see that whale" "Mom did you know..." After a good hour I pried it from his hands as he asked me if he could play more tomorrow. This was such a good purchase for a little cheap summer time educational fun.I really like that it is made of a thick durable cardboard. Makes it great for kids of all ages. I also like that they sent out an email with instructions and app recommendations, takes out the guess work and saves you time and frustration. Only critique I have is that I wish they would include a head strap allowing it to be a little more user friendly.

Eye Straining. It might be good for others who try just not for me.
I didn't like the lens, I had like 3 good Virtual Reality moments out of about 50 different times I attempted. I can't say it was worth it for me. I cheaped out and I wasted some money here ultimately I'll have to go buy the Samsung gear vr. (But that's just me)

Four Stars
OK - larger than should be to hug or fit a normal face - especially younger person.

Smart interface design, apps creaking with rusty foundations
Love it. Thinking it could benefit from an elastic strap attaching to Velcro side tabs. Also, the app selection for a three year old is really limited. Actually the apps in general are lacking innovation. Why start from the same base concepts as previous technology? The apps lack connection with today's culture. Rollercoasters? How about education? Why are we starting with emotion when we could root in cognition? How about T-5 series VR five minute shorts touring famous landmarks from tour bus, train, or on foot (point is the perspective is grounded). The affordable cardboard VR set plus the short world VR tour app (see Vienna tour on horse drawn carriage) could offer opportunities for otherwise unaffordable travel experiences to a broader population

Great product for the price - BUT don't forget to ...
Great product for the price - BUT don't forget to remove the clear plastic film from each lens - at first I thought the focus/clarity was very poor - THEN discovered the two glass lenses still had this plastic on them - MUCH better clarity now! Also like the email which provided suggested apps (could have used a bit more detail on 'best apps' - perhaps a guide through your first experience as there was a - say 15 minute learning curve - that could have been over in 3 minutes with a step-by-step to get started - but still helpful
