I love the ICO French-fry cutter to cut sweet potatoes! It is easy to use and so quick!!! Most cutters aren't built well enough for tough vegetables, but this is sturdy and works well, plus it's easy to clean. In addition, the $19.99 price is very reasonable! After watching a video of another cutter on Amazon, I knew why people had been having problems. With these type cutters, it is a misconception that you force the potato through with one press. It's better to use a couple of presses first to begin cutting the potato, but on the 3rd one you should be able to press the potato all the way through! Also, I doubt many parboil their sweet potatoes before cutting. It's extremely important for sweet potatoes!! 😊 If you don't want to wait 10 min for the potatoes to parboil, though, I have a quicker solution: 1. Clean your potatoes and then remove any bad spots or peel them. 2. Put whole potatoes on microwave-safe plate/dish and microwave 1-2 min on high, so they will be a little softer but still raw. (They will still be pretty hard, but you will tell the difference when you cut them! They will be slightly warm to the touch.) 3. Cut large potatoes in half to fit the cutter. I also cut the ends off. (Should be pretty easy to slice.) 4. Place in cutter, after it is stuck to the surface with the suction feature, and push the handle down twice, to allow blades to contact and begin to cut the potato. On the third chop, you should be able to push the potato easily all the way through. If needed, use a fourth chop, but generally 3 is enough. 5. Air fry, oven fry, or oil fry the fries using your favorite recipe! Mmmm!!! (Keep in mind, if the potatoes are parboiled or put in microwave for 2 min, they will cook faster!) I hope this helps!. I love this french fry cutter. It adheres to the counter and cuts great. I love the attachment that pushes the end thru the holes of the cutter. It is very well made and so simple to use. It cleans very easily. I would recommend this cutter.

Cuts right through, easy to clean, easy to use! Only downside is it only fits smaller potatoes so a lot of times of have to cut them in half, but other than that great product!

I ordered my first one back in 2020 and it just broke this evening( one of the blades broke off) as my husband was cutting fries lol. It was used almost every single night (my 5 kids love homemade fries) so that's over 5 years of CONSTANT use truly remarkable!!! I couldn't belive when I searched my previous orders that it was purchased so long ago. Whelp.... just ordered it again! ☺️ Hope it last just a long 🙏🏼

I really wanted to love this because I love idea of making my own french fries at home. This unit is super easy to use and it actually Cuts potatoes pretty well. I would suggest not using sweet potato with this as it's not really strong enough to handle it. I use this unit to make two batch of sweet potato fries and maybe 10 batch of potato fries and the end product is beautiful and delicious. But it always made me nervous because the system had issues that I felt like it was not made to last. And on the last basket of fries I made, the blades got messed up on just normal potato as you can see on the picture. The other problem with this unit is that is made with all this tiny holes in the corners where small food particles will get stuck in it and it takes quite a bit of work to try to get it out. I think it should have made without those holes on each end which would have made it easier to clean and maybe stronger too? I am willing to pay more if I can find a better designed, stronger unit because I love idea of this.

This ICO French Fry Cutter is extremely poor quality. The metal is flimsy and bends under normal pressure, and it barely cuts the potatoes at all. The suction base doesn’t secure to the counter, so the whole unit slides around when you try to use it. Worst of all, I found small plastic flakes from the backer plate mixed in with the food after the first use, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. Because of these issues, I returned it immediately after one use. Would not recommend. Save your money and look for a sturdier, safer option.

I've only just received it, but it works great. I saved me a lot of time. No more having to cut my potatoes every time I need fries. It seems sturdy, not quite as the one we had for years when I was a little girl. It did what it was supposed to. I would recommend it. The price was nice, and it works way better than the plastic cutters I've had that only cut small potatoes.
