It’s literally a paint roller with a bend in the handle that can be extended by pulling it. But I can say I would buy it again in a second. I’m unable to reach the middle of my back and this really gets the job done. Winter has been a little less miserable this year do to this item. A little on the expensive side but worth it if the handle holds up.

I like the folding handle which make it easier to store. The handle is arched enought to allow even application of lotions and reach the entire back. I find the rollers a little hard to clean of skin lotions, but the replacement heads are easy to install

Living in a dry climate, my skin gets dry and itchy. This helps get to hard to reach areas and feels nice, but.. it feels cheap. I do like that it comes with an extra pad, but.. those also feel really cheap. The pads could be a bit wider, more absorbent (lotion tends to slip right off the pad) and the handle could be more bendable to reach & cover more of your back area. Bottom line is, yes, this works for it's intended purpose. It is a good idea, especially for us who have no one to help us lotion up our backs, however.. for what it currently is, it's about $10 overpriced. Not really worth the price tag.

In the whole scheme of life, a dry itchy back is a small thing - but if you can gain some comfort and ease, why wouldn't you? This little device has been a game-changer. I've tried back lotion devices in the past and was disappointed - cold, hard plastic "roller balls" that neither felt good nor adequately distributed the lotion; hard to clean; bulky to store. This little gizmo was a big winner from the first use! My lotion clings to the soft and comfortable foam roller (it resembles a tiny paint roller) and the adjustable angles of the handle allow you to get all of those difficult to reach spots. A quick application after my morning shower and I'm comfortable all day. I haven't had this long enough to need to wash the roller yet so I don't know how it holds up - but it seems like compact, dense foam that should be OK with hand washing. I'm extremely satisfied and happy with this!
