Good product. I like this one and the regular-scented one as well. Holds the heat about 20 minutes. Lavender smell does not seem significant or therapeutic, but the overall product is good.

After interaction with the seller, this is a revision of my original review. ... After first receiving this, I noted--as a former healthcare provider--how I had found the product too short for my average-sized male neck and that it seemed as though, compared with another one from another company I'd bought years ago, that I'd lost in a move, it didn't retain heat quite as long. I did note in that review that I accepted responsibility for being surprised by the inadequate length since the ad had clearly noted the length and I failed to measure my neck and just assumed it would be adequate. Within 24 hours of leaving my review, the company owner politely reached out to me, apologized for my disappointment, and offered to send me a larger model free of charge if I would just donate the original one to someone in need. I replied that I greatly appreciated her response and while I was certainly happy to donate the first one and try out a larger replacement, I didn't expect it since--as my review had noted--the length issue was completely my fault for not having measured myself first. She also noted that the newness of the natural grain filler varied, and thus the moisture content, which could affect heat retention and, over time, should retain heat longer. She was very polite and very quick to reply to each of my replies to her messages...and, again, it's important to highlight the fact that though my review had taken the onus upon myself, she reached out to me first. She encouraged me to try the larger model (whose product number I have forgotten unfortunately, but it's under Sunny Bay products) which features a MUCH wider back-of-the-neck area and an elastic strap that holds the ends together so that the heating bag encircles the neck better, touches more neck area, and subsequently, because of the better fit, retains heat much longer. Also, from the time I gave her my address so that she could send the larger model directly to me, I had it on my doorstep in about three to four days.(Just a note I feel that I should place as a former health provider to help reduce the potential for injuries...please follow the enclosed instructions exactly, and NEVER heat it beyond 2 minutes to reduce the risk of fire/burning to the bag itself and also to reduce the risk of burns to the person. Also, always monitor yourself during application, particularly if you have sensitive skin, diabetes, or another condition that might make you less sensitive to heat and/or more prone to burns.)BOTTOM LINE...With this much wider model with the elastic "joiner", I am very pleased and think that, though a bit more expensive than the first basic model I ordered, it is well worth the extra money. The moist heat does a great job in quickly reducing or eliminating the very tight neck that I occasionally get from long computer sessions, particularly when I'm under stress with an important, nearing deadline. (I should note though that, depending on the person and area for which the bag is needed, the first, smaller model could be completely appropriate.) Also, in a time of profit-driven companies that are so quick to compromise quality and customer satisfaction and which don't have the integrity to stand behind their products/services, Sunny Bay--and its owner Sharon--(a 20+-year-old American company based in Washington State) is a shining example of customer-centric operations. I can easily see why this company has remained in business with someone as nice, caring, and responsive as Sharon at the helm. Thus, this revised review of the replacement item (and also considering my excellent interaction with Sharon) is a wholehearted, 5-star endorsement of Sharon and Sunny Bay. You don't take a chance with this company and their products, because they fully stand behind them!

I would give this 5 stars if it came with a removable cover to wash or if there was a removable cover I could purchase separately. I’ve been wearing it around the clock so I really need a removable cover that could be washed. Otherwise for me this has worked perfectly. But since I am wearing it non stop right now even though I’m clean but eventually it might need freshening up.UPDATE ON MY REVIEW. I HAVE INCREASED MY RATING TO 4 STARS. I was able to find something easy and comfortable around this product as I wear it that can easily remove for washing. I ALSO HAVE TO SAY THAT SINCE I RESOLVED THAT ISSUE THAT I AM WEARING THIS PRODUCTALL DAY EVERYDAY DURING THE DAY TIME AS A BACK UP FOR IOVER THE COUNTER PAIN MEDIATION. THE STURDY NECK HEATED IN THE MICRO WAVE HAS BEEN A GODSEND ALONG WITH IVER THE COUNTER PAIN MEDICATIONS. I LIKE THE Sturdy weighted design maintains good coverage the entire time I’m wearing it. Periodically, I do have to put it back in the microwave to warm it back up but out of everything I’ve tried for my problem. This seems to be working the best.I just ordered a back up second one of these wraps because I want a have back up on hand just in case.IT IS WELL MADE. I'VE BEEN WEARING IT FOR 6 WEEKS NOW NON STOP AMD THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ANY WEAKNESS OR WEAR AND TEAR and I am using an old flour sack dish towel to wrap around it to keep it from contact with my neck so I can remove the towel and wash it when need.

Purchased now two of these Sunny Bay Wheat filled pads. We have had a bed buddy type of microwave heating pad with rings for a long time. Sorry, I really can't stand its smell! My nose does have trouble with a lot of things! To each his/her own!I took a chance on this one just after Christmas. And it was love at first sniff. (Well almost:) I didn't do much research, I just bought the purple. I was very happy. Then the wife started to covet it too much, so I bought another one, the colorful Canyon color. It will be far easier to find in dark rooms and beds.Outside the box/neck suggestion: If you have cold feet when you first go to bed, this is a fantastic bed warmer!! Suggestion: First warm this up and put under the covers in your feet area. Only then prepare for bed, brush teeth, yada. Last, retrieve the pad, and "top off" the pad, and get in bed. Then, your feet will be happy, and you still have a heating pad for your designated recipient. (Spot du soir? :)And your feet will say: "OMG! The chill is gone!"Overall, it must be their special wheat filling, coupled with the very soft cover that makes these so exceptional. With this long 26" length, we don't need any rings. (No Stinking rings? :)) So this is a 10 toes up review! (Actually 9 3/4, but that's for a lawn equipment review! :)Talking about safety, of course it is optimum to have a turntable in your microwave. Of course you take it slow to initially find your optimum heat time and process for EACH microwave. Of course you can’t lay any heating pad on anything but a clean surface, so look before you heat! If you don’t do this, any pad can be overheated…. like popcorn, right? Come on people! You can read the included directions about this.
