Love this stainless steel counter, fits nicely in the hands and works smoothly.
So I’m getting older and if I need to count something I sort of forget how many there are, so in comes this handy tally counter. I had one that was made of plastic and made in China, which was awful. It lasted about 2 months before the counter started to not work. But what do you expect when it costs $1.75, I guess I could have bought another two or three, but just the thought of the waste going into the landfill was guilting me to not buy it. So this is where I got this one, and so far it has been 3 months, and it works perfectly. It fits nicely in the hand, has a very smooth clicking motion, and it fun to just play with. Clearing or resetting it is super fun to watch the numbers change over. It is so much more quieter than the plastic one, and even if I drop it, it still works. There is a nice and sturdy finger loop to make sure you don’t drop it.

high quality with a satisfying feel
My application for this tally counter is all about aesthetics--I wanted one that is a bit heavy in the hand, feels well machined like the dash controls in a nice car (somehow Honda manages to get this right), and has a satisfying audible click.I picked this one based on other reviews and I am really happy with it. It feels like it will last forever and feels like a tool and not a toy.

quick--solid, consistent clicks, no sharp edges
Quality from another era. No play if you shake it. No sharp edges. Polished stainless steel case. The finger loop, the push button and something inside the case sticks to magnets, but the reset knob does not. The finish on the two screws and the knurled reset knob is perfect.I've only had it for a few days and 1000 clicks, but it feels solid and you can hear every click. No grinding. No hesitation. The numbers seem embossed then painted. The domed magnifier is recessed so it won't get scratched so easily. The reset to zero gives good feedback and there is no play in the knob.I just fired off 25 clicks in 6.11 seconds. The return spring is perfect. It's not waterproof, but it looks like you could open it up to clean and lubricate it if necessary.

sturdy and durable
This tally counter is a step above some of its Chinese rivals. It has held up well keeping track of the number of passengers getting information assistance at the airport.

Just bought my THIRD one
The first one, bought around 2014, is still in weekly use as my disc golf stroke counter. I just bought another for use as a record player counter. These have very smooth button operation, the reset too is buttery smooth. The finish is a brushed satin. I can't even entertain the thought of buying a Chinese counter when you can get this one that feels like a precision mechanism. EDIT -- OK, so the 2nd one, I diverted to count record side plays. Yes I'm that nerdy about my needle. I got me another one for keeping track of how many shaves with a given razor blade (Feather, also made in Japan, 15 shaves on one blade). These counters, wow. I'm a machine guy, a gun guy, amateur photographer, etc -- these counters are FINE machines. I love Made in Japan as much as Made in USA. I guess I'm ordering my 4th one? Disc golf season's about to start, and I seem to have diverted my golf counter to counting razor uses ;o). Seriously folks.. these are the best.

World Cup Tested....I Approve!
It is hard to get excited about a tally counter, and it kind of reminds me Hanukkah as a child here ya go Donnie! Socks!....Eight pair!!!!! Anyway a tally counter is a device you really don't think too much about until it fails while in use with massive crowds. It has happened to me with some of the cheap Chinese counters. So a little background I am one of the Stadium Deputy Managers for 2022 FIFA World Cup in DOHA, Qatar and I dealt with 40,000 people nightly. Not one in the midst of the action did these guys seize up. You think made in the USA is just a mantra, but really the quality is so much higher than it's rivals. So if you are in the market for a tally counter, I will tell you this is the Cadillac of counters. Remember you get what you pay for....
