Very easy to use and did exactly what I needed!
I tore/ripped a nail too low to clip off, so I knew this needed to grow out a bit. Usually I use the tea bag + nail glue method, but I need to redo that every 2-3 days. I'm heading out on vacation in a couple of days so I wanted something that would be more secure and last longer. Found this kit and it was amazing!I started by gently buffing (with a 240 grit buffer) the torn section (in the direction of the tear to get it as smooth as possible for application. Then I wiped down the nail with a a lint free pad and rubbing alcohol. Applied one thin coat of the resin, dipped my finger in the powder pot, then gently tapped my finger on a paper towel to shake off as much excess as possible. This stuff dries very quickly, but you've got a tiny bit of time to do come clean up, if necessary. I kept a toothpick and a nail brush on hand - which I'd use to clean up the edges. The toothpick was good for any larger chunks I need to neaten up, then I'd run the brush lightly around the edges/cuticle to make sure it was nice and neat and that seemed to help smooth out the transition to the nail.I waited about 3-5min to make sure the product was set. Then I buffed with the purple buffer included in the kit. I ended up using a decent amount of pressure to really sand it down, but maybe start light and then increase pressure. The purple buff didn't mess or cut up my cuticles. Then I used a 240 grit buffer to make sure it was all very smooth.I repeated the process twice, but if you're just using this as an overlay one or two coats would probably be sufficient. After all coats were applied I tried to file that edge from the side and the back to make sure everything is as smooth as possible. It feels very smooth and strong/secure. The product is definitely covering the tear completely at this point. We'll see how long it lasts, but I'm feeling hopeful that it will hold up.I'm not sure how removal is going to go. I'll try soaking in 100% acetone when the time comes and will try to update this at that point.Update: this lasted for my entire 2.5 week vacation! I was moving around from place to place and washing my hands a lot, but this held up perfectly. Once I got home I removed with 100% acetone - took a good 15min soak and some rubbing but it came off very cleanly (didn't bubble or come off in chunks like BIAB or other soft gels typically do for me - it just eventually wiped away like regular nail polish). I've reapplied and am continuing to let the nail grow out. This stuff seriously is life saver!

Works perfectly.
I am so happy with this product! I had a tear in one of my nails and did not want to cut it. I decided to try this repair, and it was easy to use and worked perfectly. I am one of those people with great nails that rarely rip but in the past have resorted to cutting when there was a rip. I don't have to any more. I highly recommend this product!

High hopes
I was excited to try this product because, while my nails have always been pretty healthy and grow easily, my thumb nails usually have a spot on the sides in my nail beds that break and tear frequently. The directions seemed pretty straight forward.. clean/prep your nails, apply the glue with the nail polish-esque applicator, dip into the powder, buff.First try, I noticed that it looked uneven, so I did another layer but it quickly got “thick” and fake looking. I buffed to try to even it out but it still seemed very rough looking, even after I applied nail polish. The next time I tried to more carefully apply the glue to avoid the unevenness but still had problems with it looking rough and bad under the nail polish. I applied to all my nails to at least make them all look the same, since the thumbs with the repair product looked different.I also quickly realized I didn’t know how to “fill in” the area where the older repair product had grown out from my cuticle, so I tried to just buff down the edges and reapply as best I could to make it look even. I also started to notice the product would chip large chunks off randomly.I reread some reviews, kind of disbelieving this product was so highly rated.. I saw that some comments said you had to really buff your nails after applying and then it looked smooth, so I decided to focus on that more. This did help with making it appear a little smoother under my polish but still not the best looking. The issues persisted regardless of what I tried and I was soon battling constantly chipping, breaking nails (all nails, not just thumbs!), rough/tacky looking nail polish, and areas of repair product buildup from trying to keep them evenly coated. I also found myself using extra top coats to help smooth it out and also gravitating to my more “forgiving” polishes that could hide the imperfections. I gave up hope and decided to discontinue using it, get as much of the product off by soaking and let the rest come off on its own or grow out. Now, the past few months after I’ve discontinued using it, I just now noticed that my nails have grown back out to normal. While I was using this product and a couple months after discontinuing, my nails were unbelievably weak, to the point where they would all break (not just my thumb) any time it grew even slightly past the end of my finger tip. This was not normal; my nails are usually strong and grow out easily. When I’d press on the tips, they’d bend and they never used to. A few months after letting them recover, they are finally seeming back to normal and strong again. Of course, I’m still having the thumb nail cracking on the side, which I guess I’ll just have to put up with!

Didn't fix the crack
This product is quite messy and hard to use... the first time I had fingers stuck together. The second time was a bit easy as I only applied to the cracked nail but it didn't fix it. Now I'll have to wait until that layer wears off before trying again.

It works!
It’s almost like SNS, but hardens like acrylic nails. You’ll need to buff it quite a lot to get a smooth finish
